The place was extremely nice. You could take this place for staycation. Thé location was also nice and quiet with mountain view and riverside activities. The house could accommodate 4 people. It was neat and clean and had all the required amenities in it. But there is only very few shops nearby.

Nice stopover for WHW walkers with co-op for shopping and a nice pub serving good food, The Tailrace Inn, all in easy walking distance. Easy scenic bus service to Fort William for those who are blistered or knee-wracked or just plain tired.

Lovely quiet place, an ideal launching point to climb the Mamore hills, or else a short drive over to Glen Coe or Glen Nevis. Some other pretty local walks, although be aware all of them involve an uphill slog of 200-300 metres early on.

We had a brief stay in Kinlochleven but we will certainly return. We had an evening meal at the Trail Race Inn which was lovely. We enjoyed the friendly warm atmosphere. The village seems friendly and very scenic.

After a very long walk in to Kinlochleven a visit to the pub, the Tailrace Inn, was in order prior to going to the campsite. Very friendly. The town seemed very nice with good facilities, amenities and surrounded by mountains. Big hike out the following morning toward Fort William on the WHW.

Lovely little place with simple but delicious restaurant options. It’s directly on the West Highland Trail so hiking is easy right from your front door. There are other trails and if you catch the weather there are some good spots in the river for swimming. As if that wasn’t enough this town is nestled into the highlands and surrounded by stunning views while you’re here and while you’re driving to it. It’s worth visiting more than once!
Nice little place for a quick overnight stay as the West Highland Way walk comes to a close. Overall there is a bit of a hostel feel to the place as most facilities are shared (showers, toilets) and the pod itself is very small. Yet it does the job just fine. The vibe is top notch as everyone is so buzzed to reach Kinlochleven and only have one more day left on the trail. Oh and the lady working there is brilliant--its really nice to be greeted with an enthusiastic and friendly smile after a 20 mile day on the trail.
Everything was great, staff were lovely and friendly. Kinlochleven is a nice wee peaceful relaxing place. Beautiful views of mountains around us. The owners were nice and down to earth friendly people who were happy to talk to you and were accommodating for alot. For instance we asked if we could leave our car parked outside after our check out time. As we wanted to go a walk for a bit and they were fine with it. An Excellent little place to visit and stay. Oh and a meal in there is great to and service very fast.
Perfect location on the west highland way and right on the river too so the atmosphere in the camp ground was just lovely. Far enough away from the hotel that we could get to bed early and not hear a thing from the bar/restaurant too. A fair number of people around but still no queues for facilities like the shower or kitchen area. Staff were really friendly and helpful, even let us have our table in the restaurant early which was very much appreciated.
This is an entire two bedroom flat that has been recently renovated and extremely well done. It is very well appointed (bathroom and kitchen are great), modern, and clean. Our hosts were extremely helpful in getting us into the flat and our luggage portage service sorted. If you’re staying in Kinlochleven for the West Highland Way or just exploring the amazing outdoors, this home is a luxury.
The location was great. Kinlochleven is a quaint mountain town and we are glad we chose to stay there. The property was well decorated, had a well stocked kitchen, great hot tub, wonderful view, and everyone in our family loved it! lots of room to spread out. I would recommend it to any family looking for a peaceful getaway in Scotland. Wish we would have stayed longer!
Great location near Grey Mares waterfall; spacious for our family of four; nice little den area that was well stocked with movies, books, games and breakfast items. Not far from activities in Glencoe. Great communication from the host as well! Would definitely stay longer than one night the next time we visit the area!
A 'no frills' guest house providing everything needed for an overnight stay for a group of friends walking the West Highland Way. Clean and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast, ordered the night before. Evening meals not provided but the owners recommended the nearby "Highland Getaway", which was superb.
Basically Everything! It was an absolute perfect stay from check-in to check-out and everything in between.
We were so lucky to have booked Allt Na Leven and it exceeded our expectations, which were high to begin with and the hosts and accommodations exceeded our already high expectations!
The bed was really comfy and big! The breakfast was also good and enough options. The area is STUNNING (even more pretty than Glencoe) and you have more pubs to eat in Kinlochleven than in Glencoe. There was enough space to park next to the house, and street parking is also allowed.
The location of this hotel was good, close enough (by car) to where we were going (Glencoe). The room itself was pleasant enough for our 1 night stay. We arrived late in the evening, and the receptionist was the barman, who was busy, but also accommodating and friendly.
Extremely well appointed MiniLodge in the heart of Kinlochleven. One of the best I've ever stayed in. Lots of lovely touches.
Spotlessly clean showers and toilet block.
Exemplary outdoor kitchen area with everything you could need.
Friendly, helpful staff
Good location in a nice village on a beautiful loch and surrounded by Monroes. Close to activities, such as ice climbing centre and Via Ferrata. Nice pub in village - Highland Getaway - and Coop. For a hostel it was good. Staff were very friendly.
Very convenient lodge in a quiet environment. We felt as if we were youngsters in a small youth hostel, and we enjoyed it. The common parts were very clean and practical. Our daughter loved observing the deers nearby!
The hostel is straight off the West Highland Way path at Kinlochleven. It’s in a lovely setting and very near the Tailrace Inn for a meal at the end of a long hiking day.
Really enjoyed our stay, awesome location with great views. Clean, fresh and warm.
Loved the little walk along to the The Tailrace Inn, great little pub
