It was the rainiest day ever -- so we were happy to get to the West Highland Lodge and have a warm, dry spot to stay for a 1 night visit. Room/Bunks were great for our party of 3 (private room with 2 bunks). THe common spaces were terrific (we didn't use the kitchen but it appeared well-equipped). The dining spaces and living room were great, and the bathrooms well equipped. I never saw any staff that I could tell, but everything ran very smoothly. Plenty of pubs to choose from for dinner, and a Coop grocery in the town center for picnic supplies.

The place was extremely nice. You could take this place for staycation. Thé location was also nice and quiet with mountain view and riverside activities. The house could accommodate 4 people. It was neat and clean and had all the required amenities in it. But there is only very few shops nearby.

Lovely quiet place, an ideal launching point to climb the Mamore hills, or else a short drive over to Glen Coe or Glen Nevis. Some other pretty local walks, although be aware all of them involve an uphill slog of 200-300 metres early on.

We had a brief stay in Kinlochleven but we will certainly return. We had an evening meal at the Trail Race Inn which was lovely. We enjoyed the friendly warm atmosphere. The village seems friendly and very scenic.

After a very long walk in to Kinlochleven a visit to the pub, the Tailrace Inn, was in order prior to going to the campsite. Very friendly. The town seemed very nice with good facilities, amenities and surrounded by mountains. Big hike out the following morning toward Fort William on the WHW.

Lovely little place with simple but delicious restaurant...
Lovely little place with simple but delicious restaurant options. It’s directly on the West Highland Trail so hiking is easy right from your front door. There are other trails and if you catch the weather there are some good spots in the river for swimming. As if that wasn’t enough this town is nestled into the highlands and surrounded by stunning views while you’re here and while you’re driving to it. It’s worth visiting more than once!
There is nothing to like about at this place. The toilets were practically unusable, showers were dirty. We booked for 2 nights we decided not to shower for 2 days and we had to look for near by public toilets. I must stress that the public toilets close by were 20 times much cleaner than the facilities provided by the hotel. The shared kitchen was so small that not more than 2-3 people can fit in there. There were so many mosquitos there that we got mosquito bites all over our face, neck and hands.
Cute little pod, perfect for us as we walked the West Highland Way. Great location in Kinlochleven, easy to find and clear instructions sent ahead of time for entering the pod. The pod itself is cozy and has everything you need for a nights stay, including a full ensuite bathroom and a functional (if mini) kitchen! Tara was a great host, left all the information easily accessible and was available by phone herself.
Feeling so pleased with my stay in the property. Very clean, beautiful design and feels so cosy. Staff very polite, breakfast was delicious with various choices of food. All what I needed was provided. Attached bathroom was clean and nice, also I could see the mountains through the window. Excellent location, most beautiful places are nearby and the view is amazing around. Highly recommended
The location was great. Kinlochleven is a quaint mountain town and we are glad we chose to stay there. The property was well decorated, had a well stocked kitchen, great hot tub, wonderful view, and everyone in our family loved it! lots of room to spread out. I would recommend it to any family looking for a peaceful getaway in Scotland. Wish we would have stayed longer!
The location of this hotel was good, close enough (by car) to where we were going (Glencoe). The room itself was pleasant enough for our 1 night stay. We arrived late in the evening, and the receptionist was the barman, who was busy, but also accommodating and friendly.
Great inn in Kinlochleven just off the West Hoghland Trail. Exceptional host with all kinds of local info. Well appointed room with great view of river and surrounding mountains. Good vegetarian options for breakfast. Lovely stay was a trip highlight
Good location in a nice village on a beautiful loch and surrounded by Monroes. Close to activities, such as ice climbing centre and Via Ferrata. Nice pub in village - Highland Getaway - and Coop. For a hostel it was good. Staff were very friendly.
Arrived late and discovered other guests were in our room. Manager of the site arranged for us to move to their other hostel-all done very quickly and efficiently. Very happy with both the outcome and the way in which it was handled.
The location is great, close to the centre and with plenty of facilities nearby (a coop, some pubs). The building is nice, breakfast was great and with lots of options and the room was quite big and clean.
Spotlessly clean and well appointed. Lovely space. Everything well thought through. Nice sized rooms. Great location for walking around Glencoe, Etive and Kinlochleven. Good to have off street parking.
Stunning views and great value for location! Cute and fun place to stay. Quick walk to local pubs and stores. Comfortable sleeping arrangements. Just enough space in the pod for two of us and out stuff.
The facilities are excellent because there is a hostel nearby. The toilets and the showers are great. The glamping pod had a fridge in it, as well as a tv. It was just perfect for two tired hikers.
The hostel is straight off the West Highland Way path at Kinlochleven. It’s in a lovely setting and very near the Tailrace Inn for a meal at the end of a long hiking day.
Spacious updated rooms and the lively Bothy Bar overlooking the loch - this was the best non-luxury hotel we stayed in during our 8-day hike of the West Highland Way.
The hotel is in a convenient location right in the town and the staff were really friendly. They were able to provide vegan breakfast items which is rare in Scotland!
The food in the hotel was very good and so were the staff. The views of the lock and surrounding area were stunning. We managed to see wild stags on our stay also.
Lovely, cosy pod for 2 to stay. Facilities all cleverly fitted into the pod.
Shower was really good. Thoroughly recommend staying here if you're in Kinlochleven.
