Great hotel. Was given a room upgrade. The person at the reception desk was very helpful and recommended a great restaurant, A. Hansen, for dinner. Loved the shower head, felt like a personal waterfall. The room didn't have USB ports but fortunately I had a european plug adapter with me. The wifi was excellent.

Such a cute town!
Such a cute town! Small enough to feel cozy but also large enough to actually have restaurants and groceries! The whole town is very clean-like not a piece of trash anywhere. It’s so lovely & nice that it almost feels like it’s a movie set. we stayed on the water so the views were spectacular. It’s a short drive to Reykjavik so if you want to bustle of a city, you can have it in a few minutes. Its also a short drive to the blue lagoon so you can relax all day in the lagoon then make it back easily to Hafnarfjorour. Every person we met spoke English very well in the town so there were no communications issues. Pallet coffee shop is a lovely coffee shop with the friendliest staff and delicious bottomless coffee. Our first morning in town, we spent a couple hours just sipping coffee and talking with locals. Hotel Viking is cute. The rooms are nice and the staff friendly. We rented a car which made our stay very easy and everything in town was convenient.

What an awesome place!
What an awesome place! It was very conveniently located but in a nice and quiet residential area. The place was really clean and felt new; and it had everything you might need for a longer stay or a shorter one.

Hafnarfjordur was a good central location for getting to/from the airport, Reykjavik town and the Blue Lagoon. There were a few nice restaurants nearby which reception told us about, Von Mathus and Krydd and we got takeaway from Dominoes which was also up the road from our hotel. We loved being near the 'World Class Gym' and got temporary membership.

If you like vikings AND Iceland, this is the place to stay at. Their viking theme is very well played out! Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast buffet (especially the waffles), though the coffee might need an update (to be fair, I'm picky when it comes to coffee). Best viking themed souvenirs (most authentic looking) in that part of Iceland.
Their hot tub is awesome after a long day of exploring and hiking :)

A very attractive town.
A very attractive town. Big enough to have shops, post office, cafes, restaurants etc (Norðurbakkinn is a particular favourite of ours and KRYDD - Veitingahus supplies top-notch cooking). Some old areas with interesting architecture, and some nice modern building too. A good regular bus service to central Reykjavik enables Hafnarfjödur to be a good base for visiting Reykjavik while being a peaceful and friendly place to stay.
The location of T10 is very convenient - 30 min drive from Keflavik airport (and on the Flybus line for those who don't have a car), and 15 min drive to Reykjavik center. Three grocery stores nearby (check the opening hours when you plan your visit). There is no breakfast, but there is communal kitchen on the second floor, fully equipped for cooking and also has basic stuff like tea/coffee/sugar/ and whatever food supplies are left by previous guests (cereal etc).
Cute hotel in a very nice location. Restaurant right next to it, grocery store not far from it. Many cute small stores for shopping within walkable distance. Very nice area. Beds were comfy. Was very convenient to have fridge in the room. Scan the room key and come in as you please. Plenty of parking spaces. We picked this hotel for location between Reykjavik and airport, worked out very well. Being your own toiletries.
Our stay in the viking hotel was great! The room was clean and we liked the viking style in the restaurant and the breakfast room. Breakfast was good and the dinner in the restaurant too! The staff were super nice, they even made us sandwiches for our early check-out at 5 am. We have been there for two nights at the end of our roadtrip and would definitely recommend the viking for a stay to end an iceland trip.
When you stay with Arni, you get a slice of real Iceland. The accommodation is roomy and clean and the vintage decor adds to the homely feel. Arni was an attentive and caring host and that enhanced our visit. The facilities are basic but everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is very well situated for getting around Hafnarfjordur, with easy parking. We enjoyed our stay, thanks Arni!
Economy room very basic--one pillow per bed, small bathroom. Room looked modern and was clean. Towels were nice. Breakfast spread was fantastic.--presented beautifully with much variety. Had dinner at attached restaurant which was convenient. Hotel will give you a bagged breakfast if you ask--sandwich, juice, protein drink, banana and sandwich. Saw the northern lights in parking lot.
Thelma and her family are quite lovely.. the communication is easy and uncomplicated. The apartment is very close to Reykjavik Downtown and near to many places like the Nationalpark, volcanoes and geothermal areas. We didn’t miss anything and had a great time in Iceland. Thank you for being your guests.
The Hotel Vellir was the last stop on our two week stay in Iceland. It was convenient to Reykjavik and the airport. The staff was friendly and let's not forget the filling breakfast with heart shaped waffles. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. It was a great last night.
Apartment was really spacious. Kitchen had everything we needed. The washer and dryer was definitely a bonus! Me and my friends had a few movie nights and we really enjoyed the living room area especially the huge tv. Would definitely come here again if I were to visit Iceland.
We spent 7 days in Iceland and this apartment was the best choice! It was clean, well equipped and easily accessible. Our host Damon was very kind and helpful, we could count on him at any time! The next time we visit Iceland, we will definitely choose this apartment again! :)
The place was clean and really charming whereas we booked in the afternoon for the night. Not cold, no noise and all equipement we needed was avalable. We had a mail informing us the code to have keys. Thanks for a good last night in Iceland before back home !
We arrived on an early flight and the employee onsite did everything she could to get us into our room early so that we could rest. The hotel was conveniently located near two grocery stores and Go Campers, where we picked up our camper van.
Very big, modern hotel in great location. There is a huge gym at the same building. Breakfast was really good, staff is nice and very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again
Both the hotel building and nearby restaurant are works of art, just breathtaking. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking was available. Rooms are small but cozy.
