It was even better than expected! The loft was absolutely lovely and cozy. It was a peaceful and quiet area not far from town. The Wi-Fi was excellent, despite mornings that it might not work well. The host was friendly and accommodating, even though we arrived late.

From the town with independent shops to the breathtaking walks this is a lovely place to spend some time to take in the Welsh scenery. There is plenty of parking and places to stay and prices are reasonable. The museums and community centres are not to be missed.

Our visit to Brecon was to meet friends and celebrate a milestone birthday. We had a fantastic bit short trip and regretted not having more time to explore the town more as well as the local countryside.

Spent two whole days sightseeing in brecon itself.
Spent two whole days sightseeing in brecon itself. Other days went out to visit, wales ape and monkey sanctuary, Henrhyd waterfalls were well worth the walk down the shale track, visited Blaenavon mining museum and visited Aberfan. Each route had ideal motorcycling road and spectacular countryside views. There are also other places to visit but did not have time to visit them all. Would recommend the area for views and for walkers, lovely spots for picnics. Absulutely fantastic

The hotel was clean neat and tidy. The people on reception were polite & courteous. The restaurant food was good.
There is no service between lunch and dinner - so it means a trip out if you need a snack.
I was using the hotel as a half way stop so didn’t explore the area.. sorry.

It’s a lovely town with a lot of character and good places to eat and drink.
The surrounding area is stunning. For those wanting to go up Pen y Fan and other peaks, Brecon is a perfect base.
I will be going back for sure!

I Loved the Place, the area is a National Treasure.
I Loved the Place, the area is a National Treasure.
I had some great shopping experiences
Sorry, but I do not do churches / cathedrals or cemeteries, those days have long past, I much prefer to shop along the high street and visit a Tea Room or Charity Shop, or best of all a Market / Fete.
Top tip for those eating at a Pub or two, expect mediocre Food and London Prices here, I believe it is that they feel with such a massive audience they can get away with it. Of all the places we ate, The Tea Rooms at Wye-Not-Stop Llyswen, Brecon, LD3 0UR Has to be our Favourite place to eat, and what a cracking name.

Mount Street House was perfect for our stay, celebrating 20th wedding anniversary we wanted to explore Beacons but come back to lovely cosy little bit of luxury and for that it was perfect treat. Great location, 2 min from town and easy drive for any of the famous walks.
Breakfast was beyond my expectations- really really good!
Everything worked so well and effortlessly, WiFi, tv, great bath, breakfast order & delivery... little extras like surprise nightcap drink waiting for us resulted in great night sleep! :)
We loved our 2 days staying at the town house at Brecon . The house was beautiful and our room was tastefully decorated with lovely furnishings.
The bed was comfortable and the bed linen was top quality . The bathroom was clean with a lovely shower and nice products . Tea and coffee facilities in the room .
Delicious breakfast served with plenty of choice .The hotel owner was lovely and made us feel very welcome we will definitely be staying there again
We had a fantastic long weekend stay at Vale Farm. The location was perfect - about 10 mins from Brecon and within east reach of the Beacons. The scenery was stunning and the children loved playing in the field with the dog. The owners were really friendly and helpful with local information. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and the pool and hot tub were a huge hit with our 11 and 9 year olds. We will definitely be returning!
We had the greatest time at the Griffin Llyswen. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay, from the amazing scenery to the town of Brecon itself. We looked forward to going back to our haven at the Griffin at the end of the day. The restaurant was excellent, the pub was clean and the staff were excellent. We will be going back there again in the future, of that there is no doubt.
Mount Street House was located in an ideal spot close to the Brecon town centre and our room was very clean and comfortable. While there is no free parking most nights, we didn't have any issues finding a parking bay close by (less than 2 minute walk). Breakfast was great and was safely delivered to our doors every morning - thanks Nigel and Myfanwy for the comfortable stay!
Bed was very comfortable, room was really large and spacious, and had everything we needed. Wi-Fi was fast. Coffee and tea outside on the landing was a nice touch, as were the complimentary toiletries provided. Shower was hot and powerful. Lodge was very warm and cosy. Parking was really easy, and good location to be able to walk into Brecon town centre.
Stayed for 2 nights. Spotless and very comfortable. Very close to Brecon town centre. Room had all facilities and beautiful view necessary for a lovely stay, and was so quiet and peaceful. Very much appreciated extra bottled water on landing. Delicious breakfast with excellent hot choices and fresh fruit/juices. Lovely pleasant service at breakfast time.
Really lovely and helpful couple. The breakfast was excellent and my boys loved the selection of cereals. Fab location, right on the edge of town, just a 10 min walk in. Close to lots of amenities and attractions in the Brecon Beacons Park. The garden was also lovely and nice to be able to sit outside and relax on a sunny afternoon after a busy day.
The location was great, in Brecon town centre and close to Pen Y Fan which was the reason for our trip. There’s no parking which is a pain as you can only park outside the hotel for 1 hour and then you have to move your car. There is a paying car park about a 10 minute walk away. The bed was comfy and the shower had a good pressure.
Chris is an exceptional, helpful and friendly hostess and makes you feel really WELCOME WHICH IS WHAT a solo traveller needs. Location is right on the edge of the town centre making easy access for meals. Great breakfast
Great location near the centre of Brecon, large room with en suite and good shower, private parking, welcoming host greeted us on arrival and gave great advice on local restaurants including a personalised welcome guide
We loved our fantastic camping pod to reconnect with nature and we’re impressed with staff who went above and beyond. Fantastic value for money YHA Brecon Beacons is a must for anyone who wants to visit this area.
