If you come to Zernez you are anyway not planning to hang...
If you come to Zernez you are anyway not planning to hang around in the towns! The hikes between here and many other equally charming villages with spectacular views and quality local food (if there is a restaurant) make a visit certainly worthwhile. If you plan to hike to a place for lunch or dinner, just be sure to ensure there is a place that you can do so which is open and has place.AkshobhyaSwitzerland - 10Scored 10
This town is one of two entry points into the Swiss National...
This town is one of two entry points into the Swiss National Park. There is only one in the country! If you are interested in hiking beautiful trails in a pristine area that has been set aside since 1909 this is the place for you. This is also a big road biking area for a biking enthusiast on roads . I believe that bicycles are not allowed within the park on hiking trails. Which means no mountain biking.

The modern rooms are large enough and well equipped. Bus stop is 200 meters from the hotel and will bring you to the National Park. The hotel sits right on the exit of Zernez, basically at the door of the National Park, is easily reached on foot from the train station (or the nearest bus stop, less than a hundred meters away) or by car (ample parking space available). As for the restaurant, everything we had was delicious.

Inside our room the decor was modern and chic, the place spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. Zernez itself is a quiet village, but in the heart of the Engadine Valley. I would definitely stay again.

It was very convenient to have breakfast already available at 7. If interested, the hotel rents bikes and e-bikes for free. We didn't benefit as we already planned our hiking trips.
