Not sure if it was because of the lack of snow, but we found Murren to be quite sleepy. Very few tourists. Appeared to be lots of vacancies in town. Many shops appeared to have shut down for the season. The skiing was actually quite good at elevation throughout the Jungfrau region in spite of the lack of natural snowfall and we of course appreciate the train system to travel throughout the region. The terrain in the region is more beginner/intermediate than we anticipated, though there are some nice steeps if you know where to look. Murren seems to be the more remote place to stay so if traveling to the various resorts via train will annoy you, consider staying in Wengen or Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen.

Mürren was perfect.
Mürren was perfect. The town is quite nice and sits on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Lauterbrunnen Valley. We stayed in Grindelwald prior to staying in Mürren and we so glad we made the effort to stay here. Amazing!!!

Beautiful quiet village with easy access to all other locations in the Lauterbrunnen valley. There is not as much open in Murren in the period before the full winter season gets underway. Make sure you make a note of the Murren Bahn timetable.

The valley feels like Yosemite only bigger and more accessible. The town of Murren is at the top of the valley and mountains go up another few thousand feet from there. The whole place is unbelievably scenic.
A lot of things close down in early October, like the funicular train up the mountain..

We had a beautiful awesome view from our room and enjoyed a glass of wine most nights on the balcony. The breakfast was tasty and the variety of food available made sure everyone was happy and satisfied. Great coffee and lots of juice choices were available also. We also enjoyed dinners there. After trying a few other restaurants in Murren we found we liked Alpenblick best. Jeanette and Thomas were the best hosts ever. They were always helpful and extremely knowledgable about train times, hikes, weather and things to do in the area.
Nice hotel in a beautiful location. Staff was friendly. Our room was comfortable. We stayed in a room with a shared bathroom. The facilities were always clean and we never had an issue with other people using the facilities the same time as us. There is one toilet for women and one for men. The shower room has 3 showers and they provide you with mats. Definitely bring shower shoes if using the shared shower. Mürren itself is beautiful and we loved staying there. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay in Mürren!
Probably the best place we stayed in our Swiss trip. Great hotel, very clean room, nice location, close to the train station and the view from the balcony was just amazing. But a very unique part about this place is the personal touch from Tom and Jeannette. Lovely couple managing the property. Please try eating at the restaurant. Tom is a really good chef who made even boiled vegetables tasty ;) All in all, highly recommended if you are staying at Mürren.
We liked the general atmosphere at the Regina. Especially the saloon, and the dining room were just beautiful -- old vintage style. Something never to be seen elsewhere in Switzerland. Staff was extremely helpful: They made me coffee in a thermos for my early morning hours (I get up very early in the morning); they helped me dry my dog, after w both got thoroughly wet in an unexpected shower. Breakfast was bountiful. Dinner exceptionally good.
As the main accommodation on the family holiday trip, we thoroughly enjoyed the comforts of the apartment. The owners insisted on picking us from the train station to the chalet and viceversa. Very happy to choice it so right, in the first holidays in Switzerland. With the children we enjoyed the swimming pool offered by the Murren sports complex upon payment of the tourist tax.
It was very clean, has great staff, (Ema, Arthur and all!) and is very welcoming! If you want a real look at the Swiss life, this is it. Unlike Lauterbrunnen, which is very chaotic, Murren is charming!Convenient location: walk down to the gondola and any place in the Alps is accessible! You have a choice of shared bathroom or your own in the room. We shared, and it was fine!
The hotel is located outside the town, it is quite and a perfect place to go for a walk after dinner and gaze at the stars. The restaurant was also great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and we chose this location for a comfortable start to hike Schilthorn. It was a perfect weekend.
Perfect location centrally located in Murren. We loved the views from the deck and living room! It was great having a washer and the drying rack worked out very well, washing at night all was dry by morning. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds and pillows were very comfy. We would definitely stay there again!
Location, restaurant terrace, but not choice of food even the menu Fächers no fish or chicken and it’s in my view super basic, but there are many restaurants around..
The value for money compared to other hotels I saw on booking. The overnight prices were much higher
The staff super friendly and helpful
Switzerland never fails to amaze me and my family especially this lovely place situated in the 'sky' and this hotel helped make this experience even better!
Location is fantastic including the view from your very room's balcony. Breakfast is fantastic too!
The location in Mürren is excellent. The room - even though it was partially below ground - had a view of the Eiger. The staff were great, particularly in the restaurant, and the food was wonderful!
This hotel is located near the lift and the center of town. It worked perfectly for us. Fantastic views of the Alps and a great restaurant on the premises.
It is convenient to walk from the train station to the hotel. They didn't allow us to check-in early but they let us leave our luggage for the meantime.
