Not sure if it was because of the lack of snow, but we found Murren to be quite sleepy. Very few tourists. Appeared to be lots of vacancies in town. Many shops appeared to have shut down for the season. The skiing was actually quite good at elevation throughout the Jungfrau region in spite of the lack of natural snowfall and we of course appreciate the train system to travel throughout the region. The terrain in the region is more beginner/intermediate than we anticipated, though there are some nice steeps if you know where to look. Murren seems to be the more remote place to stay so if traveling to the various resorts via train will annoy you, consider staying in Wengen or Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen.

Mürren was perfect.
Mürren was perfect. The town is quite nice and sits on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Lauterbrunnen Valley. We stayed in Grindelwald prior to staying in Mürren and we so glad we made the effort to stay here. Amazing!!!

Beautiful quiet village with easy access to all other locations in the Lauterbrunnen valley. There is not as much open in Murren in the period before the full winter season gets underway. Make sure you make a note of the Murren Bahn timetable.

The valley feels like Yosemite only bigger and more accessible. The town of Murren is at the top of the valley and mountains go up another few thousand feet from there. The whole place is unbelievably scenic.
A lot of things close down in early October, like the funicular train up the mountain..

Nice hotel in a beautiful location. Staff was friendly. Our room was comfortable. We stayed in a room with a shared bathroom. The facilities were always clean and we never had an issue with other people using the facilities the same time as us. There is one toilet for women and one for men. The shower room has 3 showers and they provide you with mats. Definitely bring shower shoes if using the shared shower. Mürren itself is beautiful and we loved staying there. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay in Mürren!
The location is right in the center of Murren. The breakfast is good, it has all the necessary to fuel yourself before tracking) - sausages, fresh bread, coffee, etc. We had a room with a mountain view, what is really breathtaking!
The important thing is that there are fridge, kettle and microwave on the first floor, that is really come in handy when you are in Switzerland). The Coop is near the hotel.
The atmosphere of hotel is calm and relax, like you are the member of the good old club.
My daughter and I loved our stay at Hotel Alpenblick - it was the perfect location while we were in Switzerland for 3 days. Jeanette and Tom we incredibly kind and friendly - we felt right at home. The hotel was clean and perfectly located with wonderful views. As it is just a short walk from the train station getting to and from different areas was a breeze. A bonus is the great restaurant in the hotel.
The hotel service is good, and it is kept clean and comfortable. We booked a balcony room, it has a good view, and the double room is a little smaller, but also good. The location of the hotel is also good, and It's next to the cable car station. Unfortunately, since we went to the Jungfrau, we were not able to have dinner in the hotel. Next time I go to Murren,I will book the hotel again.
An outstanding location and excellent view! The Murren train station is a 3 minute walk from the hotel. The breakfast was included with the room rate. Hot and cold options. There was a mini fridge in the room which was very helpful. The owners were friendly and available to answer any questions about the local area attractions.
Ask for a Mountain View room.
You won’t regret it!
As the main accommodation on the family holiday trip, we thoroughly enjoyed the comforts of the apartment. The owners insisted on picking us from the train station to the chalet and viceversa. Very happy to choice it so right, in the first holidays in Switzerland. With the children we enjoyed the swimming pool offered by the Murren sports complex upon payment of the tourist tax.
Great location. My husband and my grown up kids stayed here for a long weekend. Very nostalgic for us all here. My kids learnt to ski here 20 years ago where we would book the hotel apartment which was opposite the hotel. That was demolished and the new apartment is now there. Great apartment with gorgeous views. Breakfast was included which was greatly received.
The EIger Hotel is one of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed in. The view is so magnificent and the the staff does a great job to make sure you are comfortable. The food there is the best in town and the pool is such a nice way to relax after a long day of hiking. It is one of my favorite places to visit.
Excellent location in Murren, near the Allmendhubel funicular. A lovely combination of quaint alpine ambiance & contemporary comfort! Clean, comfortable; excellent breakfast (included with the room); welcoming staff.
Really clean space with a good buffet breakfast and restaurant for dinner! The hotel was a bit of a walk from the cable car to Mürren but the train lets out right in front! We had a cute little shared balcony.
This hotel boasts one of the best views in the world. It is comfortable, spacious, and clean. The included breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
Beautiful views, great food, absolutely kind, charming, thoughtful staff. This hotel is a no brainer, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Mürren. Just go here.
the breakfast was good, the staff was very kind, it is always the case in the german part of switzerland, the room is cosy, the city itself, is very nice.
