The staff were great!!! Friendly and professional.
The rooms were clean and the best location next to the train/bus/cable car stations.
The breakfast was exceptional.
The charming, historic and family-run Hotel Oberland in the center of Lauterbrunnen is only a 5-minute walk away from the train station. The Staubbach waterfall is nearby.

The single room was TINY and not updated since the 80s. But it was clean; the sheets were perfectly white and the room had a stunning view of the waterfall. Breakfast was fine, but nothing to write home about as the only hot option were soft-cooked eggs.
This characteristic Swiss chalet hotel with mountain views is centrally located in Lauterbrunnen in the heart of the Jungfrau Ski Region, a 3-minute walk from the Train Station.

The location was good. It was a little bit from town but a short walk (some uphill) or there was a bus stop right outside the apartment that we used a few times. Super easy. I also liked the USB ports available for charging phones. Kitchen was well stocked and host was very responsive when questions needed answering.

Most epic view I found in Switzerland. Truly incredible to be looking right down the valley with an unobstructed view of the glaciers, not far away, three waterfalls on either side of the valley, and base jumpers, jumping off the cliff. A truly spectacular view, excellent facilities, very comfortable bed, very quiet. Great communication from the host. Easy to check in. Pretty easy to find. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed at through Booking.com.

Excellent rail link from Interlaken and then access by train or cable car to various mountains. Whilst the village is quiet it has a coffee shop and a few other shops open during March, I'm sure many more in the Summer.

The town Lauterbrunnen is wonderful.
The town Lauterbrunnen is wonderful. Small town with a cliff on both sides. Very scenic. Murren and Shilthorn the Ski Attractions are accessible through Lauterbrunnen. Nice cosy hotels and wonderful food and friendly people is what Lauterbrunnen offers. Its very close to the wonderful town Wengen (20 min via train) which is at a Hill top opposite to Lauterbrunnen and connects to Jungfrau - The Top of Europe.
Lauterbrunnen is a must visit town if one is visiting Switzerland and wants to enjoy a very scenic and less crowded experience.

Lauterbrunnen is perfect if you prefer to be in a quiet and low key spot versus some of the larger towns in the area. It is basically one street but has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The train station services everything in the area, and also has a lift to Murren. There are plenty of cafes, a supermarket and sports equipment stores. It's a lovely village.

Beautiful town. Beautiful waterfalls.
Beautiful town. Beautiful waterfalls.
For keeping your luggage, you have 2 options:

The location of the hotel was excellent and the view from the room facing the mountain and waterfall was breathtaking. Being the oldest hotel in Lauterbrunnen, the hotel was abit aged but well taken care off. There were no coffee making facilities in the room but they made up with free flow of coffee & tea in the lounge which was a big plus which we greatly appreciate. They also have a Picnic Room to heat up your food etc. Hotel manager Adam was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with very friendly and cheerful staff attending
we love everything about the chalet, including the cat Wilson who lives in a barn nearby. It felt like home away from home, the chalet us cosy and well equipped with everything we need. We wish we can stay longer! We enjoyed the delightful walk with beautiful spring blooms along the path and cute cottages with the majestic mountain views. it’s like a dream comes true. Dave and Patricia are the best hosts we encountered in our whole time in Switzerland catering to our every needs. Highly appreciated and recommended.
Simple hotel with great staff. We had a corner room with balcony overlooking the waterfall which was a pretty stunning view to wake up to. Unfortunately it is an old and noisy hotel, the upstairs guests kept us awake at night and you're woken up by the banging doors in the morning. Like all hotels in Switzerland, it seemed overpriced to us but for a night's stay in Lauterbrunnen it was very good. Breakfast fairly simple. Would recommend for an overnight stay due to the excellent, friendly staff and the view.
Amazing place. Great location. The view is amazing. Close to the river. The rooms were fine and exactly how you'd expected them to be. They were very clean. The staff was friendly and gave us great suggestions. They had small market on place and offered everything you need (supplies, food, coffee, etc.). Even if there is a shared bathroom for several rooms, everything was very clean. We traveled to Germany and a bit of Switzerland with our teenage boys, and this was their favorite stay so far.
Actually great value for money if you need to spend one or two nights at Lauterbrunnen. I booked a single room for a 41$ at booking as a mobile offer and this room was clean pretty well organized even not super small and also has a waterfall view. SO for 41$ per single room its totally amazing. Let's be fair! I do not recommend this hotel for romantic couples because the sound system is a bit poor but for smart solo travelers it's a good option!
Breakfast included (ham, cheese, yogurt, fruits, coffee, juice, breads, boiled eggs). Good size rooms, tiny showers (the usual for Europe), Phenomenal location, 2min walk to train station, window view to waterfalls (to include Staubbach Falls- #1 in the Top 10 Most beautiful Waterfalls in Switzerland!), Free Wifi, Restaurant/Bar open for all 3 meals. Highly recommended for solo, couples and families. Short train ride to Interlaken and Grindelwald.
We loved how unique this property was. We are avid campers, but for this trip we had luggage and none of our camping gear so we opted for one of the fox cabins. It was quaint and just what we needed for our time in lauterbrunnen. We hope to be back here in the future! Also loved the location, that it was tucked back in the valley away from some of the bustle of the tourism in the city. Also loved the onsite shop and restaraunt.
Location, location, location!!! The bus stop is just outside the house, so it was super convenient to carry our luggage to and from the train station. The waterfalls were within view and the walk to town was easy and picturesque. Reka our host was bubbly, cheery and super nice. The apartment was very comfortable, amenities were complete and it was the nicest place we stayed in while in Switzerland.
This is the perfect place for people who want to take a train to Jungfrau because this hotel is very close to the Lauterbrunnen station just no more than 5 mins by walk. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. They can guide you anything about not only Matterhorn details but also restaurants and tourist attractions around there perfectly.
Angie is such a lovely host, and her apartment is exceptional! It was perfect for our family during our stay in Switzerland. The location is wonderful, and the views can’t be beat! The place is spacious and clean, the kitchen has everything you’ll need.
the location to the train station is great and the beds were very comfortable. Staff was kind and helpful, and the overall price was great. I will stay with Valley hostel again on my next trip out to lauterbrunnen.
This hotel was absolutely beautiful. An easy walk from the Lauterbrunnen train station. We had a very comfortable bedroom with a great bed and nice large living room we could relax in after a long day.
Location and restaurant. Easy and quick access to the splendor of Lauterbrunnen valley and the many other mountain villages nearby. Ate at restaurant 3 times. Food and service very good.
It was a true Switzerland cottage, the location was amazing also. The size was very comfortable for our needs and the host was super helpful. I would highly recommend staying here.
Location is close to the train station. Price is very good considering how expensive it is in Switzerland. I like that there is a balcony to hang out on and view the mountains
