Excellent stay! Carina and Christian we’re brilliant. Room was ready before check in. We arrived two hours early so just wanted to dump our bags and go but Christian checked if the room was ready and it was so he let us check in 2 hours earlier which was amazing. Both very friendly. We had drinks in our room in the evening and they always gave us ice and glass whenever we asked. Only fall back of this location is that the last bus to the hotel in Habkern from Interlaken west is at 7.05pm. If you miss that, the only way to the hotel is a cab which is a 19 min ride but costs 40th f. We got hit so beware. Other than that it is an amazing place to stay with amazing views and you also see the cows parade outside.

Exactly what we were looking for after spending time in the nearby "tourist" areas. Gasthof Bären is the perfect example of the care and attention to detail that come with having the owners actively involved in the day-to-day operation of a hotel. Definitely not the fanciest hotel we've ever stayed at, but possibly the most warm and inviting.

The room was quiet, although the windows faced the street, so there was a nice view of the mountain from the window. And you could also see the cows coming to graze. The owners are very kind and nice. 10 points, I recommend this hotel!

Morning breakfast in outside of the restaurant is also fabulous. It will be your best choice. Bus from Interlaken west at 6 am-7 pm. Every hour one bus. Its take 20 min by bus to come hotel. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and the room had very nice mountain view and a nice road with waterfalls to the hotel. Nice bed and quite area for a good relax sleep. And received a free bus pass for 2 days in Interlaken free travel.

It is a wonderful base for the surrounding area and only 5 min drive to Interlaken, and free parking area to rear.....but the usp is the fresh air and village setting.
