A little village up to the hill - a very good location for those who prefer silence and being accommodated close to the nature. I would not recommend this location to those who need pubs and parties as there is nothing like that :-)

The place has so much to offer.
The place has so much to offer. A real laid back place to unwind and relax. We took the cable car to the Stockhutte top and then a trek to Klewenalp was amazing. We saw the paragliders launching from the top and the view was amazing. We took the cable car down from Klewenalp to Beckenried andf then a bus back to Emmeten. This whole trip is covered in a single ticket and well worth it. One may look at doing it in the reverse, since there is continuous climb from Stockhutte to Klewenalp. One saw hardly anyone going the same way as us, but lots of people (some with kids in strollers!) coming the opposite way. Something to think about. Stunning location that really takes your breath away.
Stunning location that really takes your breath away. Beautiful restaurant with views across the lake. Lovely grounds. Left us feeling we’d like to go back and explore the area more. But it was expensive for the rooms we had.

There is not much to do in Emmetten except hiking up the...
There is not much to do in Emmetten except hiking up the mountain then taking the cable car down - something one could do anywhere. It is however, cheaper than other places. In hindsight, I would have stayed on beautiful towns on the lake east of Emmetten.

The hotel restaurant is also very good, with good wine, excellent local food as well international cuisine. Breakfast is also very complete, offering a full range of very high quality food. Italian Coffee is also amazing!! There is FREE Parking for Hotel guests.

Swimming pool great in the cold days. Breakfast so tasty that you can't stop to eat:) restaurant menu is exceptional. And all of this in the room with the mountains view. Around the hotel the mou tain and lake virw is breath taking. There is a great forest parh for a walks. I definitely recommend.

The apartment is situated in a small and quiet village. It was very clean and cozy and we had a beautiful view of the lake. It was only a 30 minute drive to the Engelberg ski area.
