We stayed for six days in Champery in January for skiing in Portes-du-Soleil. The ski resort is huge. We were able to never do the same run and lift three days in a row. Champery is a historic Suisse alpine village with nicely presented shops, bars and restaurants. Expect to spend approx +30% in Switzerland on everything - especially food. Be prepared that some shops take only cash and impose any cash withdrawal fees on you.

Champery is a quiet, pretty little Swiss village on the edge of a stunning ski area. There is ample choice of small restaurants in the village and once you are up the mountain (via chairlift or telepherique) you have access to one of the largest lifted ski areas in the world.
If the snow is not great, there is actually very little to do in the village in winter, so keep that in mind.

Difficult to be negative as I have been coming here for years and have my own apartment in the village which was occupied by one of my daughters and family this time.

Good indoor and outdoor pool and walking in the mountains
Skiing normally good but the whole area had no snow this time .

If you like alpine hiking, then I highly recommend going to Champery for a couple of days. The hikes up both sides of the valley from town are really nice - epic views, with steep trails that will really give you a good workout. The town itself is compact, and pretty lively (there was a "Jazz and Wine" event throughout town one evening I was there). There also are plenty of active things to do, including e-mountain biking, a rope park, paragliding, etc. Overall, a lovely place for a short alpine get-away.
Very friendly staff, always smiling and welcoming guests. Always ready to help you and supply to all your needs. Super qualified stuff with answers for everything! They know well the environment around them and can give you good advice on activities.
A lovely stay, the atmosphere is like a family and the hotel is cozy. I appreciated a lot the tea o'clock (16h-18h): you could go in the lobby and seat on the sofas and drink a tea and eat some of their delicious handmade cakes!!! Lovely time!!
This hotel delivers on its 3* Supreme rating. The main hotel itself and the rooms are rather basic, but everything is very well looked after and clean. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The WiFi was robust during my stay. What makes this hotel stand out is the very nice spa area, which has a jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, cold bath and a "floating bath". The hotel is located on the main "tourist" street of town, so right next to plenty of bars and restaurants.
Location is great. Hotel is in the same building as huge swimming pool, ice skating rink, curling, badminton, climbing wall, even an escape room facility (we did that one, was great). As we had one day with really bad weather, skiing was not possible so it was great to have alternatives. Restaurant pretty good.
Set in a lovely village, this spa hotel was fantastic. Very friendly and accommodating staff who are happy to help with restaurant reservations and excursion recommendations. The Mountain View’s from the bedroom balcony are exceptional, as are the spa facilities. This is a great stay for the whole family.
The location was great, the staff were kind and helpful, and the hotel had good facilities for a 3-star hotel. The added bonus of a spa, complimentary evening tea, and complimentary passes for regional activities made my stay even more enjoyable. I will definitely return to this hotel.
Best location in Champery. A few meters from the train station and a few meters from the godonla. Can be on the slopes within 10 minutes of leaving the apartment. Next to ski renting shops and Coop (grocery store). Train ride is easy from Geneva airport.
Big kitchen, well equipped.
Spacious apartment. kitchen has oven and hob but no microwave. Views are spectacular. 5-10min walk to Champery village high street. Further to the gondola (we didn’t walk it but I would estimate 15 mins down and maybe 20 min walk back up (assuming you have skis to carry))
Breakfast was so delicious and the view from the hotel is absolutely breathtaking! Stuff are very friendly and welcoming, very pleasant to communicate. Room is so comfortable, almost everything is great. In general everything was so good.
Location can't get any better in Champery - it's right next to the cable car, the shop and the train station.
Apartment is very well equipped with everything you may need in the kitchen. They also provide a variety of games.
The Spa is the best of this property, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The view of Swiss Alps from the terrace of the hotel is spectacular. There is free shuttle transfer to ski lift which is only 5 mins drive away.
Very friendly staff, very well-designed room with everything you need within reach. Comfortable bed. Mountain View was spectacular. We didn’t try the hotel’s restaurant but the little town nearby has good restaurants.
The staff were very nice and friendly. The breakfast was excellent and I could not expect more. The room view (with mountain view) was fantastic. Overall I strongly recommend this place to any traveler to Champery
Kelly and David and the other staff we so welcoming. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, especially the new ice cream menu. Its a gem in a remote corner of Switzerland, with superb access to hiking trails.
Great staff, cosy, authentic ski chalet, good breakfast & nice views. Charming church bells ringing in the village, popular bar des guides next door to the hotel entrance.
Hotel was well located, 5min walks to the gondolas. Great place with kids as you have access to the centre sportif and all the activities ( swimming, skating).
