Andermatt is a lovely town that includes an exceptional ski resort. The town itself has several lovely restaurants, pubs, wine bars, coffee shops. There is a small, but well stocked grocery store as well. The locals were very kind. Felt very safe. Family friendly.

For the two days I was there, I loved Andermatt.
For the two days I was there, I loved Andermatt. It has a spectacular setting amongst stunning mountain scenery. I stayed in a lovely guesthouse (Zum Sternen) in the picturesque village centre with a beautiful Chapel just above the square and typical mountain river flowing nearby. Full of colour with local and Swiss national flags flying, and beautiful wooden buildings. I will definitely come again...and again.....

Andermatt is a small alpine village, ideally located for the Gotthard Pass, Furka Pass and Oberalp Pass. The village is flat and easy to get around by foot, bike or car. Excellent train connections including the Glacier Express. Plenty of bars and restaurants. Ideal for cycling and trail running.

Andermatt is a beautiful little town with all the amenities you really need. A well-stocked grocery store and numerous shops, easy train and bus access, a free ski shuttle, rental shops for outdoor gear, hiking and biking trails galore, and spectacular mountain views. Everything seemed to be a 15-minute walk from everywhere, which was very convenient; plus making use of the free shuttle simplified walking times (bus drivers were very friendly and willing to stop and ask if we needed a ride). Everyone spoke English well, which simplified our travel experience. Switzerland is very expensive, and Andermatt is no exception; consider checking menu prices before committing to a week spent dining in restaurants (we had an apartment and cooked more than we dined out). We did have some spectacular traditional fondue at Hotel Sonne’s restaurant (in the downtown), which was a delight.

Andermatt is located in the very core of the Lepontine Alps, close to many passes and breathtaking mountain views. Either in Summer of winter, the town is plagued with amenities, activities and excursion courses. Restaurants and ok and always enjoying the Swiss traditional class. Swiss is expensive, but the trip worths every Franc. I will return thousand times. Switzerland is the only country where anyone may feel at home once you arrive.

Great location for hiking - one day I hiked from Erstfeld to Wassen; the following day I hiked from Wassen to Hospental (Trans Swiss Trail). The train journey down to Erstfeld went through one spiral and two loop tunnels - impressive Swiss engineering.
We were heading towards Chur and Via Michelin did not tell us that the A19 Andermatt to Chur is always closed in the winter. We were stuck in Andermatt and checked in to this hotel. They were great, we had an excellent meal and continued our journey the next day. On our way back we stayed there again and had an even better meal. Staff were friendly, beds comfortable, dog welcomed. What more can I say. Yes if we are ever going that way again we would happily stay there
Wonderful property just outside Andermatt town. Lars and his wife kind and welcoming. It is definitely group living, expect to make friends over dinner and wine. You need to either ski or hike in with your belongings, so not suitable for everyone. The bathroom and kitchen were both very clean and well maintained, a sauna and hot tub and grill available for use. I hope to return and stay longer! Thank you!
Modern apartment and spacious ( I booked Superior 80 square meters) and nice location but it lacks many things. As check in takes place in Radiason Blu near hotel, it is much better to stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel, you will pay more for your comfort & get much more services (breakfast, pool access, gym, room service, cleaning, etc) l.
Car wash at the parking basement was a good thing.
The breakfast is ok, the selection is good. Location is just in the center, between two ski lifts, close to everything. The room has all features I need: enough electrical outlets, mirrors, space to keep your stuff, adjustable room and water temperatures, good lighting, nice room design, modern bathroom appliances and design. Wonderful view from the window!
Great location right next to the train station, perfect for biking or hiking to the source of the Rhine. Good breakfast, dinner available (which is good, because there wasn't anything else open). Sink in the room, and slippers available for walking down the hall to the toilet/bath. Indoor bicycle storage. Public WiFi worked well. A simple, but nice, hotel.
Hotel Crown was very clean and the rooms were very comfortable. The ski storage room and bus to the lift were very nice amenities to make skiing access easy. Breakfast was convenient and the dining area also doubled as a nice place to have a drink or read while waiting for your room to be ready or waiting to depart.
Gasthaus Ski Club is in a central area of Andermatt. Breakfast is a continental breakfast (not American Buffet) with enough fresh breads, croissants, eggs, juices, cereals to set you up for a good day.
The hotel itself is a cosy traditional Swiss style chalet.
Gasthaus Skiklub has a bar and restaurant.
This was our second visit to the Chedi at Andermatt and it was as special as the first visit. The room was perfectly appointed. The selection of food available for breakfast is one of the best breakfast i have had.
Clean and warm. The photos don't do the accommodation justice. Much better value for money in a cosy spacious and clean room than all the overpriced hotels nearby.
Perfect location for sole traveler. Less than 5 mins walk from the train Andermatt train station. The room is the largest compared to where I stay in Switzerland.
