Hotel is just less than 7 min away from Toyama Station. It is quite an easy walk with large luggage. The hotel is extremely clean with large lobby area and spacious room.
My only hope is that the breakfast choices can do few variations each day.
It was a perfect hotel choice !

Toyama is probably outside of the usual tourist trips in Japan. I have been there for a working meeting. Anyway it is a pleasant and quite city, large enough to offer some amusements and definitely not chaotic. I would recommend visiting the castle and the seafront (the latter probably best enjoyed in summer).

I took the 6:28 shinkansen from Tokyo, then directly went to Mt. Tateyama. Finally arrive on the Mountain at 12 and spend the entire day there, went down at 16:15. Arrive in Toyama city around 7. The next day went to the glass museum of Toyama, grab a coffee, then directly went to buddha statue in Takaoka & Amaharashi coast. Just enough two day trip.

I and my friend spent 3-day vacation here (end of July). We enjoyed so much fresh air and peace of the city (or it was because of the covid so there was not much of people visiting, idk) but it was ideal place for a getaway from crowded cities. We went to Tateyama and planned to visit Snow Wall (Murodo) so we bought the ticket for cable car to Murodo. It took about 2h for cable car and bus to get there, and as it climbed up to the mountain, it would be more foggy and cold so remember to prepare extra clothes, hats and shoes (it'd be better to have water-resistant ones and maybe you will also need a rain coat). Unfortunately, we could not observe any snow wall ecause it has already melted at this time and also the mountain bc it was too foggy. This was our first time so it was ok to challenge with a short trekking in raining and strong wind and get wet, but if you want to reach Tateyama top, it'd be better with extra-preparation of professional clothes.

Love Toyama city for the ample space, peacefulness and vicinity to great attractions. Halal food was a bit difficult for me, but since food was not my mainn priorit, Toyama was great! Will visit again in the future.
Excellent choice to explore Toyama. Very close to a bus stop and city centre. Much of our sightseeing was at walkable distances. Including toyama castle, river cruise, glass museum, science museum etc. less than 20min walk from toyama railway station.
Plus it has lots of freebies like free sauna / hot bath and ice lollies after and even free noodles at night. Excellent breakfast with japanese and continental items. Specialty items like the firefly squid, mentaiko omelet etc are found on the breakfast menu which was an unexpected surprise.
This is a very nice hotel. The room and bathroom were very clean. The beds soft and comfortable. For breakfast there is an extensive choice, mostly Japanese style. The hotel is a 10 minutes walk from the train station.
We stayed just one night because we wanted to do the Tateyama Kurobe alpine route a which starts in Toyama, so we didn't see much of Toyama. Near the hotel is a convenience store and there are several restaurants around if you walk about 10 minutes.
If you love the outdoors, definitely stay at this guesthouse! It is surrounded by beautiful Japanese nature, not too far from the mountains - perfect for hiking, climbing as well as snowboarding. Besides that, the hosts are very warm and welcoming, and their son is the cutest Japanese child I have met. The food is authentic Japanese - absolutely a must try! The bedroom is also in traditional Japanese style, which I really appreciated.
Room was big with beautiful mountain views! Very conveniently located close to Toyama train station and within walking distance to a nearby car rental with hotel parking available for a fee which made transport a breeze! Hotel was also accommodating and allowed external visitors to the rooms for a short while which was very helpful - many other hotels did not allow this and we had to cancel another booking due to this restriction.
Comfotable beds in good size for japanese standards, floor with tatami, very clean in general, good ofurô in the bathroom, and silence to sleep well. In addition, the breakfast was very well served with good variety, tasty and healthy!
Attendants were very thoughtful! Also, the hotel offers special shampoo for small child - which is very good and helpful for the parents (less carry on to take)!
Amazing location(literally 5mins walk from Toyama station with me dragging my luggage and backpack), staff were friendly(albeit not very well versed in English) and the room has everything you need and then some. There's 2 different convenience stores both 2mins walk away and a variety of dining options too. Walking distance(give or take 20mins) to some of the popular attractions too.
Very good location, 3 minutes walk from the bus station.
clean big room
Near the restaurant, near the supermarket, the room is wider than other hotels. Coin-operated washing machines and dryers are available.
lovely attentive staff Our group had sent our luggage in advance before we checked in. The staff are very helpful.
A great stopover to Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. The train station to Tateyama is just 1 floor below the hotel. Good direction map (with photos) from Toyama station to the hotel were provided when I asked for it, so I could easily found the hotel.
Hotel staffs are very helpful...they kept my valuable things which forget under the pillow...so appreciated...breakfast is simple but so tasty...the room is clean...location not far from jr station
Good location. The hotel is clean. Even though the hotel isn’t located in restaurant area but not too far from Toyama station which is surrounded by restaurants. Room is big enough for two guests.
Good. Just 1-2minute from toyama Jr Station dan toyama dententsu station. The best staff and best service. Big size room. And near mall too. Fast internet
Very accommodating. I want to recommend Saki. (The staff in the hotel.) she was ever lovely and wonderful. She helped me a lot as I don’t speak Japanese.
