Lots of tourists on holidays but pretty peaceful on normal days. The beach was great but I think they limit the days you can swim. Nice stroll along the sandbar. Amanohashidate is the main thing, there's nothing much to do in Ine aside from taking the boat tour. It's probably best to take the tour that starts from Amanohashidate and goes straight to Ine if you want to save time.

Miyazu is called "Kyoto by the Sea" and is a great place to visit for it's proximity to several appealing places. Amanohashidate or the "bridge to heaven" is a narrow 3.6 kilometer sandbar which, seen from a nearby mountain with cable car access, is one of the "three great views of Japan." It is also just a short drive or bus ride to Ine, a scenic and charming fishing village. There are temples and shines and just great seaside walks and scenery. We had a great dinner at our ryokan Shinpuro, a nearby restaurant Ogura and the Amanohashidate Winery. The Ine Cafe is a great place to sip coffee and take in the great scenery. Miyazu is accessible by train, bus or car. We used the bus to travel or just walked. We spent our 20th wedding anniversary in Miyazu and were't disappointed.

Location is a tad out of the way but was ok even while dragging a large suitcase along. There are no staff and this is a self-check-in and check-out hotel, and there are no facilities either, but the room is very spacious and well-equipped. Getting from here to Amanohashidate is easy and there are some great restaurants within walking distance (though it is a bit of a walk). Room was very clean and definitely great value for money versus most of the hotels in the area.

Centrally located in Amanohashidate - 3-min walk across the street to rail station and all major bus stops. The hotel garden is an ideal place to take a panorama view at the Asoumi Sea. The room we stayed overnight is a bit dated but overall clean and cozy. Breakfast buffet is great with a variety of Japanese dishes. I also enjoyed the public onsen facilities, a nice fit for the vacation trip.

I love this place so much! If you don't mind staying one train station away from Amanohashidate, this is the best place to go (especially if you're with friends/family. The place is clean, beds are so comfy, and you'll have your own kitchen. We were able to cook our own food. Also, the staff are very polite. It was very easy to communicate with the owner, too.

Even though the single room was with shared toilet, there was a sink in the room, which was convenient for brushing teeth and washing the face. The shared toilets were clean. For people too shy to use the public bath at the hotel next door, there is a shower room at the first floor next to the washing machines.

I’ll make it brief. I loved this place. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. It’s a Japanese style hotel which equally means clean and neat. It has a tiny Onsen-like bathroom inside with a sea view. I highly recommend this place for visitors of Amsnohashodate.

The bed-the most comfortable bed that I had in Japan within this budget range. I had the best night of sleep. Also its open style kitchen area with free coffee/tea and baluda oven toaster on the lobby floor was convenient to use.

Traditional Japanese hotel with some 7 rooms in an old building. Rooms and Onsen are a bit small and dated. Excellent service with nice breakfast and dinner. Excellent location right next to the famous rotating bridge.

The room was in good condition. I liked the fact that it was a Japanese tatami room and the yukata was prepared, making it fun for foreigners to travel. The table in the room was also large, so it was good to eat.
