A lovely small capital city , very easy to visit in a day or 2. Beautiful scenery and lovely buildings by the Old Harbour . I would recommend hiring electric bikes , then you can cover the whole city in a day . A boat trip up the fjord to see the abandoned villages and icebergs is great . Nuuk Water Taxis helped us with this . There are some good cafes and we particularly liked Mary's Kitchen . Nuuk is a great place to visit, and use as a stepping stone to other places. On a Friday night you can catch a boat ( the Saffaq Ittuq) up to Illulisat .. a fantastic trip .

It's a small place (although large by Greenlandic standards)...
It's a small place (although large by Greenlandic standards) and not many people go there. But it's modern and quite well appointed with a reasonable selection of eateries, pubs and other facilities. There's probably not a huge amount to see in the town itself, so you'll need to take organised excursions (no roads outside of the town!) or use it as a starting point for a wider tour. The Greenland Museum is small but surprisingly good and worth a visit.

The shared bathroom was large and clean. The property manager, Maali, was responsive to my questions and requests, including getting a taxi to the airport for me on the day of my departure. When I needed to extend my stay because my flight was cancelled, there wasn’t a problem at all. Maali was very accommodating.

It's easy to check in yourself. My flight from Reykjavik to Nuuk got cancelled and I arrived there one day later, lost 1 night. They refunded me the lost night without complications. Will definitely stay there again, if I come back to Nuuk one time.

There were iron box, ironing table, TV & electric kettle provided in the room. The staff were super friendly & helpful. The location though a bit away from the city center, was accessible by walk. There was cliff by the shore about 100 mts from the hotel, which was an amazing spot to enjoy the northern lights at night.

A little far from the city center (20 minutes walk), but I didn't mind it. Free WiFi and breakfast. I had dinner a couple of times, and the food was great and the price was reasonable. The city Center lies in approx 15 min walk. It is easy to find all short cuts in case you have to walk. Otherwise, ordering taxi is a way to get around.
