Nice small town, close to mountains so you can quickly go hiking or skiing or whatever you prefer. There is Aldo where you can buy food and a few restaurants. Not many of them were open during our stay though so we ended up buying pizza to go.

I was here for one night on 5th October.
I was here for one night on 5th October. The town was dead but I have no doubt this is a wonderful place to stay in the summer for a walking or cycling holiday. In the evening there was only one restaurant open,Gasthof Gruber which was excellent. The Italian restaurant in the hotel was closed but as the town represented the Marie Celeste this was not surprising.
Midweek in October is not a good time to come!

Our summer trip to Wurzeralm was amazing.
Our summer trip to Wurzeralm was amazing. We took the Wurzeralm cable car and then the Frauenkar so we could get quite easily to the Ramesch peak (2119 m) even with kids. The lifts were free of charge with the pyhrn-priel AktivCard that we got from our accommodation provider.

Our family is in love with this place.
Our family is in love with this place. The picturesque destination with a lot of sports activities in the winter as skiing, snowboarding snowshoe hiking, skiapline hiking with plenty of choices of accommodation as per your wish. Also, there is a very nice and tasty Austrian cuisine which you can taste in some of the restaurants. Very close is Windischgarsten, where you can feel yourself like in the winter fairytale.

Singerskogel is an amazing place to stay.
Singerskogel is an amazing place to stay. Our apartment was large, very clean and we had a terrace with a beautiful view of green meadows and huge mountains. It is a stunning area. Our hosts, Andrea and Pepi went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Andrea is an incredible cook, serving up fresh, locally sourced meals that were diverse (stayed for 3 nights) and delicious. Pepi spoke English and explained the local food and told us about the area. He even ended our dinners by treating us to a glass of the local schnapps. This stay is not to be missed. It was a highlight on our 5 week tour of Austria!

everything especially the owner Amelia. she was so kind. we have stayed only one night. we wished to have more days in this lovely place. it is a must to come back here.
beds are not small (as stated in a few rewiev) and there are spare blankets. bathroom is very comfortable and well decorated as if a part of five star hotel. garden just nearby a river is breathtaking. highly recomended for families with kids
Location of the hotel is great for those who like quiet place far from main roads with amazing view of mountains from a balcony. It's close to two national parks and there are even more mountains around.
Room was big enough, everything clean. There are hiking trails starting right from the hotel.
Hotel is more than dog-friendly. I'm sorry for mud I left in bathroom.
Each year, for the last 5 years we are stoping at this beautiful place to take a rest from the long trip and to start holiday nicely. Nature is beautiful, rooms are spacious, for family with smaller children this is great place to since hotel has the playground. Food is tasty and staff is very kind and nice.
Visited this hotel summer 2023. Absolute great location on top of a hill with a terrific view on the mountains. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. A lot of space in the apartments. We could also do a later check-out. We would definitely recommend it.
The atmosphere of the place, which is very peaceful.
Margarete helped us so well which was very touching for us.
Food is really good as well. All staffs in this hotel are really professional and kind.
The hotel is easy to find on the main road and has a big parking spot in front. The room was well equipped with a small kitchen, table and private bathroom. Abundant breakfast in the morning.
This was not the first time I stayed at this hotel. The hotel is managed professionally. I like the location. Spital am Pyhrrn is also a good base also for visiting the surrounding region.
