If you like hiking (not climbing), Hohentauern is the right place. There are some peaks to climb, but only up to 2500 metres altitude. Many streams and lakes make the hikes eventful. In winter there is a small skiing area and many routes for cross-country skiing and snowshoe hiking. Perfect place also for families with smaler kids.

Hohentauern is such a small and calm location for your holiday. Not crowded by many travellers and many opportunities for walking and hiking, with or without dog, are around. We had also experienced the modern austria cuisine in Café & Restaurant Passhöhe. We definitely recommend to visit this place when you are passing by!
