The hotel has a true Austria-feel, right in the middle of the mountains. The hostess was friendly and witty. Breakfast was fine, just continental breakfast, but it was not bad. We were sent off with some bars of chocolate, which was a very nice gesture.

Right next to the slopes of the Berwang Ski Area, the Rotlechhof is 1.2 mi from Berwang village center. It features a sauna, steam bath, infrared cabin, and fitness center.

The location is amazing, really quiet place to relax. The room was quite spacious and clean, and the bathroom even had a bathtub. Also really nice view from the room. Food was very good.

Very clean, modernized and fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Very spacious and quiet location in a charming mountain village, perfect for us between Garmisch, Neuschwanstein Castle and Highline 179. Check-in was easy and hostess was very kind and responsive. We would definitely stay again

René and Esther were wonderful hosts. They took a real interest in our activities. They care about their guests. The room was comfortable, with a modern bathroom with a good walk-in shower. It was quiet at night. Our room had a small balcony with a view of the mountains. Berwang is a small town and you can walk everywhere. Although there was one flight of stairs to our room, the stairs were not steep and had a good handrail. It's an easy day trip to get to the Austrian side of Zugspitze gondola.

Hotel Schloss Fernsteinsee with its own castle is set at the foot of the sunny side of the Fernpass, only a few miles from the Zugspitze Mountain.
