Great for walking, with well-maintained trails. Old town is in perfect condition, preserved as if in a time-capsule (but not old and tired, freshly painted and bright). Excellent dining options. Very friendly people.

A sleepy little town with a beautiful old church and some nice old houses. It is not tourist-oriented. One has great difficulty finding a restaurant on Sunday or Monday evening, but even on Saturday the one we found was ready to close at 8 pm.

This is not a typical Austrian tourist heaven.
This is not a typical Austrian tourist heaven. It is not crowded, there are not hundreds of accommodations and noisy people, nor thousands of restaurants. There are few of them and this is very good. It is nice to use the car and be able to wander around. Great local shops, cafeterias, restaurants. Great but simple skying areas.
