Lovely to attend the Blues festival for my annual visit (not a snow lover) and enjoy the Village in summer. Enjoyed the Gondola for my first time and loved the ride, and that there is a venue at the top to eat or drink or listen to music.. If planning to eat out do take plentyof $$$ss as no cheaper options ecept the bakery and cafe on the Village square..

Thredbo is a great base for physical adventures.

Thredbo is a great base for physical adventures. However, it's very expensive. It stuns me that a golf course takes up so much of the small amount of space available, which limits accommodation and keeps prices high. Who goes to Thredbo to play golf?!

Closest ski field from Canberra. Easy to drive to.

Closest ski field from Canberra. Easy to drive to. Great for children. Snow was not great this season unfortunately, lift pass at $200/day is a bit pricey, lessons for adults were also high - used to be much cheaper pre-covid for lift and lesson. Ski school instructors, most were pretty good with kids - pleased with that.

Skiing in Australia will also be a bit of a risk.

Skiing in Australia will also be a bit of a risk. Massively expensive for potentially poor snow coverage. Thredbo had such limited accessibility on one of our days everyone getting down the run then had to take off their ski/snowboard to hike through mud to the only available chairlift from main hub. Enormous queue. Saw people arrive and just turn around. There are limited options to get out of front valley when the wind shuts down the the chairlifts. This was end of July - peak season. I recommend Perisher over Thredbo in terms of reliable access to snow.

Thredbo is easy to get too, and the drive there from either direction (especially from Khancoban) is Fantastic. There is a lot of chair rides, and a Gondala ride, if you want to just go for sight seeing, and the Board Walk on the top of the mountain is a "must-do" in the out of season times. Thredbo is probably one of the best locations for mountain bike riding.

    The room was lovely. Spotless.

The room was lovely. Spotless. Heated flooring and towel rails. Large bathroom with plenty bench space. Lovely breakfast in shared dining room. Beautiful views from picturesque windows. Hosts were wonderful. The only problem is the access. To the chalet. Going down 52 odd steps. Is fine if you have no health issues or knee problems. And we were fortunate to have only a small bag. This is the only issue I have with pure Thredbo. But it’s important to let others know. I have friends who would not have been able to stay had they have known of the steps Otherwise. Perfect

Amazing location, very friendly and helpful staffs. Great rooms, very warm, quiet and comfortable, far beyond my expectation. My second trip to Thredbo, last time I stayed at a very expensive Airbnb house, but this time so lucky that I found this hotel. Love the cozy common living room (and the great fireplace). The Cascades restaurant in the hotel is the best restaurant at Thredbo, very reasonable price ($69 for 3 courses dinner) for amazing food (salmon, steak, pork belly...). Free parking and very close to the chairlift.

Very good location - at the bottom of the hill in the central village, and my room had super views up the slope. The bathroom was newly renovated with *fantastic* shower. The room was spacious and for 5/6 nights very quiet. Ski storage was new, safe and spacious. Host and other staff are very friendly and helpful. It's nice to deal with a local business. There was a sneaky exit door direct to outside (couldn't enter back that way) which was occasionally useful as a short cut.

We were already in Thredbo when the Sydney lockdown happened. We were told to return to Sydney and cancel accommodation, ski lift and rental. The staff in Aneeki lodge were very helpful in providing guidance. When I asked for refund the staff were the most friendly and helpful despite the fact that I gave them the wrong credit card number and they had to do the work twice. Thank you Jenny and Steve and anyone who answered our many calls.

It’s a lovely place to stay. We went during peak winters and booked two rooms with views. Our room had stunning snowy mountain views. Absolutely amazing. I am definitely visiting again. Very friendly staff, provided us with all the necessary information about staying and visiting the Thredbo village and getting out and about. The picture uploaded doesn’t do justice to the views.

Our unit was simply furnished, decor a little dated (1980s perhaps) but reminded me of my first trips to Thredbo as a teenager so quite nostalgic! Stunning views over the valley to the ski slopes, our unit had a separate bedroom, great little kitchen with all the basics. friendly staff. Great value out of ski season, centrally located just a 5 minute walk down to town centre

We thoroughly enjoyed the location nestled in a little nook near natural bushland but enough open space for children to play, the family atmosphere at Thredbo was fantastic. The cottage had a nice atmosphere about it. The shower was good and welcomed after a physical day of either walking in summer or skiing in Winter.

The location was amazing, could not get closer to the chairlift and Friday flat. Very easy with kids. Breakfast was good and had choices and there was always plenty. Staff were friendly. Drying and ski storage room was great and convenient. Location location! Also only a 10 min walk to village for dinner at night.

Location and the view from the balcony were great. Well furnished with heaters in living and bed rooms, heated lights in bathroom. Kitchen was fully furnished with adequate utensils. The support staff were very good with assistance although it was a period of XMas holidays.
