I would stay here again just for the lounge and kitchen area. It's so cozy and relaxing with a modern-rustic feel. Cozy couches blankets, carpet, comfy seating and soft, warm lighting. The open fireplace and café style seating, with board games etc was fantastic. The kitchen was spotlessly clean and modern. I wish we could've spent longer just hanging out there. Also fantastic having free additional towels at reception to take over to the hot pools. Staff were wonderful.

The Hot Pools are a great drawcard, always popular. Some great restaurants, cafes and bars. Lots of trees, provide welcome shade in summer. Plenty of walking and cycling tracks. Water sports - rafting, jet boats, fishing etc. Craft market on a Saturday. Always a busy place for locals and tourists, so book early.

The Mountain View’s were beautiful and the walking track varied from easy to difficult. The town was very pleasant, clean and well taken care of. The pools were wonderful and especially enjoyed being able to swim laps in the big pool which was never crowded. Overall it was a very pleasant place for a vacationMacaluso - 2.0Scored 2.0

Hanmer Springs is lovely. This motel overpriced, cheap and nasty. False advertising using "premium". Hanmer is popular but don't resort to booking at this motel if you find others booked out.

Nice small village with plenty to do. Many walking and bike trails, nice shops and the Thermal pools were great for all ages. Plenty to keep families amused. The whole town had a nice vib. Great thermal pools.
Great thermal pools. My wife booked had two sessions in the spa rooms - a facial and a massage - while she was doing that I ventured on the new waterslides (at the age of 71) - they are now included in your admission charge. As we we were staying for two nights, we booked a two day ticket to the pools, this is good value and it's great to be able to pop to the pools early in the morning when there are fewer people around. One evening we had a good meal at the Hanmer Springs Hotel (where we stayed), the second night we tried the Spice Village Indian restaurant, which I thoroughly recommend. Great lunch one day at the Powerhouse cafe - by far the best cafe in Hanmer in my opinion. We also went on the quad bikes at Hanmer Attractons - we were able to choose a quad buggy which is a two-person vehicle. This is well organised, with an instructor/guide who puts the emphasis on safety.

They upgraded us to a superb suite with great views and lots of space. Very comfortable bed and a great wet floor shower. We will definitely stay there again. The property is a short, easy drive from Hanmer Springs, where we spent time at the pools and had a good dinner. The next morning we took a lovely walk in the forest before leaving the area. Hanmer High County Views is idyllically and peacefully situated, with wonderful views from the room.
