Small village with access into Alpe D'Huez ski area.
Small village with access into Alpe D'Huez ski area. Plenty of ski hire shops and a few restaurants / bars. Some small local produce shops and a very small pharmacy.
Perfect if you are after a quiet ski holiday. If you are self catering, stock up on supplies in the valley before you arrive.
There is a public swimming pool and ice rink. You get one free entry to the swimming pool with your ski pass.
We visited for skiing but are considering going back in the summer as the Vaujany / Monfrais area is very pretty.

Beautiful place to be at and to engage in activities.
Beautiful place to be at and to engage in activities. The city tries hard to please and provides a variety of free open air shows, a free little road train to get from one place to another throughout town and a free activity pass to make the stay attractive.

Beautiful location, and near-perfect weather while we were there; locals and staff all quite friendly and it felt less impersonal than some big resorts I have been to; lots of skiing, and we progressed to black runs by the end of the week; except at peak times at the start or end of the day we never waited long for a ski lift. My son had lessons with ESF and grudgingly thought they did improve his skiing. Night life was sufficient for a family with school age teenagers but wouldn't be enough for the young singles crowd. Make sure to book your restaurants in advance. Getting there was slightly tricky; Ben's Bus only goes to a stop about 15k from Vaujany (Rochetaille), but we got a taxi easily enough from there (Alp Assistance taxi were very friendly and helpful, and sorted out our return to Rochetaille for us too). If you are self-catering, the main supermarket is the small Sherpa one near the top of the village, which was fine for the basics. We would definitely go back. Our main stress planning the trip was about COVID (my son missed his first dose of vaccine because he had COVID at the time) but we had proof of his one dose and previous infection on the NHS app. Jet2 made a bit of a song and dance about this when we checked in on the way out, but we had no issues when this was (rarely) checked while we were in France.

the resort is probably good only in the ski season, in the off-season there is no open food store and no cable car/ teleferic or no-open functional entertainment facilities . If you want to enjoy nature, hiking and isolation is good

Cute little place surounded with beautiful mountains and waterfalls. Vaujany has all things you need, from shops and pool to ice rink, cinema and restaurants. Parts of the town are conected by escalator. People are nice and freandly
First of all the owners. Their hospitality and helpfulness. They are really friendly and they’ll give you good information about the area and anything you ask for.
The breakfast with a really delicious and fresh croissant, good coffee and etc.
The location for skiing is also good, just 6 minutes drive from Vaujany big gondola, which takes you to Alpe d’Huez ski resort. otherwise you need to drive for 38 minutes to reach Alpe d’Huez ski resort.
The location is good for hiking as well.
There is a parking on site.
The staff were excellent and incredibly friendly from the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. especially our waitress in the evening, she was amazing. The hotel is very luxurious with amazing views from the spa, restaurant and your room. The rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds and very clean, although I couldn't find any aircon which was a shame especially in summer.
The staff is very helpful and tried her best to resolve our problems. The residence is close to commerical and sport facilites, with great landscape (not only the fall, but also you can see milkway from the terrasse in summer night).
You can park the car under the residence, or by the residence, in fact you don't need it during the stay.
Location was very good, bottom door in chalet appartments opened up onto walkway between pub and pizzeria, only a short walk from the ski lift area. The village is very well laid out despite being on a very steep site - getting around helped with escalators and great lift to swimming / ice skating area.
the resort is probably good only in the ski season, in the off-season there is no open food store and no fonctional cable-car /teleferic or neither open entertainment facilities, and not even human presence. If you want to enjoy nature, hiking, isolation and tranquility is very good
The location of the apartment was really good, especially for skiing, because we only need to took our skies over the road. Also nice to have drier in the ski locker. The apartment was big enough. Also very nice to have pool and sauna available.
The hotel is new and cousy, the rooms are nice and big enough. Also the restaurant, the bar, the spa and the relaxing services are really good. To end I must say that staff it’s been very nice with us.
the staff were very king and provide good welcoming.
Everything was fine.
The checkin and checkout was fine as well.
I highly recommend this hotel and the location
