David, the owner and chef at the gite, was enormously kind, providing meals and lovely accommodation. He also provided excellent hiking maps for Orcieres and adjacent valleys and helpful suggestions for itineraries. His Demi pension meals made with local produce were extraordinary and delicious.

The owners were very kind and advised us where to hire our skis. (In a shop where you can leave the skis etc over night, and don’t have to carry them back to the hotel!)
