Morzine is great for travel from UK for a short break as it is so close to Geneva. It's a lovely village with plenty of places to eat and drink, shops and things to do.
Resort is low so in a poor snow year you have to ski in Avoriaz, accessible by bus or the Super Morzine lift. The ski area is very large.

Morzine is a lovely town with plenty of bars and restaurants and shops, you do have to pre book the really popular restaurants though, as they do get really busy. The snow wasnt great in Morzine when we were there but really easy to get a bus to Avoriaz or the Super Morzine up and then a chair gets you to Avoriaz where the snow was amazing!

Morzine is a beautiful town.
Morzine is a beautiful town. It is only 1h:30 from Geneva so very accessible. The ski area in Morzine and Les Gets is extensive and offers plenty of variety for a full week. The only challenge is the snow. It is reasonably low and it can rain on the lower slopes. During school holidays the queues on the lifts around Morzine and Les Get can be long (up to 30 minutes). We were late picking up our daughter from ski school as a result. If you are not with young kids you can also head up to Avoriaz and the wider Port du Soleil.
Food-wise, I can recommend La Flamme, Le Grange, Le Grillon and Le Vaffieau.
I'd recommend using Easy2ride over ESF.

Morzine is an older, year-round village, not just a purpose-...
Morzine is an older, year-round village, not just a purpose-built ski resort, so has a good range of restaurants, cafes and shops and a variety of accommodation. The Bec Jaune micro-brewery/restaurant and L'Etale were both excellent places for a meal and helpful in accommodating a couple who hadn't booked in advance. The ski area is pretty, particularly the runs through the trees. There is obviously some excellent off-piste terrain. However, the resort is low (1000m) so snow conditions are always going to be a worry, as on this occasion when there was only mediocre on-piste skiing to be had. Would visit again, but only with a last-minute booking once I was sure conditions would be good during my stay.

We loved our time in Morzine. We were there to ski.
We loved our time in Morzine. We were there to ski. The snow wasn't great when we visited. Nonetheless we had enjoyed the skiing, with plenty of variety on the slopes to suit all abilities. We thought Morzine itself was very picturesque and had plenty of nice restaurants. We plan on returning

Morzine is a family ski resort.
Morzine is a family ski resort. Maybe not enough night life for youngsters. It links with Les Gets and the whole Avoriaz area (Porte de Soleil), so a huge variety of skiing available. Lots of restaurants and bars available. Free buses around the town and surrounding areas to the lifts. I feel really at home there.
The breakfast was wonderful. The food is very good, and the tables are marked with names. François is very attentive and polite. The room is large, but the bunk bed space is a little tight, but it's ok. The bathroom is a little small, but that's ok. The beds are comfortable. Not too hard, not too soft. The hotel is very well located. It is close to Pleney and Super Morzine. It is close to restaurants and supermarkets. The hotel has a ping pong table, board games, pool table, sauna and ski storage area.
Chalet Luna was perfect for our group, really clean, modern and in a good location. It’s only a couple of minutes walk from the free bus stop which will take you to Pleney in a couple of stops and Prodains in 5 minutes, and is a 10 minute walk from town - the next best thing to ski in ski out.
The hosts also couldn’t be more helpful! answered loads of my questions before we arrived, and were helpful with check-in and check-out too :)
Le Montana is located just 2mins from Pleney lift and 5mins from Super Morzine lift by foot.
From Morzine pistes you can ski directly down to Le Montana's apartments.
Market , cafes, bars, restaurants and shops are just around the hotel, so if not having your own car then location is very convenient. Apartment's owner was very helpful with anything we may needed.
The hotel were very welcoming & everything was easy &accessible. The breakfast was fantastic. The bus stop for the ski lift was outside the hotel which we were really pleased about to find. The room was spacious with a balcony & bed very comfortable. Large hot tub in the spa area so room for everyone. The whole stay was brilliant & we could not fault it.
Rooms were very spacious for a ski hotel in France and the beds reasonably comfortable. The kids loved the pool and hot tub.
The food was very good but, while not a problem for us, did not include any vegetarian options.
The service was also very good, they even catered for us the first night when we arrived (due to flight delays) late.
Host was excellent, location good, 10 mins walk to town, 5 mins walk (in ski gear!) to ski bus (easiest to head to the Prodains lift rather than Super Morzine). It's not luxury clearly, but a very clean, comfy apartment and a great base (although we were out most of the time).
The chalet felt spacious with plenty of seating for 6 of us. Kitchen facilities are good (although we mainly ate out) and Nuria was helpful throughout our stay and provided storage after checkout so we could ski on the last day and still meet our transfer at the chalet.
Spotlessly clean, modern fittings, large well equipped kitchen , comfortable furniture and beds , good WiFi , close enough to town , rapid response by owner to all queries and ample space for five (may take up to 8) .
Friendly, happy staff. Good breakfast, great 4 course dinners. Location handy for ski shop and major Gondola to Avoriaz. Bus stop outside to go to Morzine. Quiet in hotel, but more lively nearby
A beautifully kept family hotel. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms with great views, and nice food. Regular ski bus service from front door or a 10 minute walk to Super Morzine lift.
The hotel is very special. The view from the balcony is breathing, the restaurant was excellent and the staff was very accommodating. The shower and bed was the best!
Surprisingly lovely swimming pool, small but warm and a real treat to have it there. Nice service at breakfast and the best pain au chocolats ever! Excellent parking
Good location, walking distance from the Pleney skilift and the centre of Morzine. Excellent buffet breakfast in the morning. Covered parking underneath the hotel.
Hosts are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast it’s excellent. The rooms are very comfortable and warm. The Chalet is very nice and the location is great.
