Its very expensive compared to other areas I have stayed, I wouldn't have stayed here if it wasn't for the cycling. You can get way better value else where. Its got everything you need, although was disappointed the gondola from the valley up, was running in the summer. would have expected this being a MTB resort in the summer.

Meribel was a lovely town but we stayed just to visit my son who works there and we aren't skiers so that was long enough as nothing much to do for non skiers scenery was breathtaking food and restaurant selection excellent

Meribel - Mottaret is a great resort a little higher and smaller than Meribel. It’s ideal for families as has many ski-in out options. At Easter it was fairly quiet, no queues and plenty of Space. Weather was changeable but we had very good snow 3 /5 days. The restaurants are decent and there is a good supermarket. All very easy to navigate. ESF ski school recommended.

We went to meribel for downhill mountain biking.

We went to meribel for downhill mountain biking. While there are a few red and black trails, which favour a downhill bike, most trails and tracks are better suited with an enduro bike. If you don't mind a little bit of pushing uphill, it's fine either way. Most "Bikepark" tracks are on the easier side suited well for beginners. Elite/pro tracks are harder to find, but those that exist are fun to ride with well built jumps and drops / obstacles. I wouldn't mind to have more of those though. The enduro trails are panoramic and absolutely superb. The view from the mountains is just stunning. Descent is sometimes over 1000hm which is really amazing. All three valleys can be accessed with chair lifts by a single ticket. The price is totally fair. Summed up, for hardcore Bikepark riding an area like Chatel/Avoriaz/Morzine is probably a bit better, but for a good mixture of DH/Enduro Meribel and surrounding area is just perfect. Would bring both bikes next time though ;)

I have been to Meribel for a week's skiing before and had a great time. Now I visit often for just the day as we stay in Chamagny en vanoise which is just across the valley from Courcheval and has access to la Plagne, Champagny is a cute tradition French village and just feels like you're in France unlike some other ski resorts. From here we can ski La Plagne and Les Arcs or drive 20 mins to Courcheval to mix up the week a little.

The location is great and the town center is very accessible on the footpath from the 5th floor. The 2 bedroom apartment with two showers and two toilets worked great. The kitchen facilities are very good and nothing is really lacking. Great to have the ski rental in the same building. We rented equipment and bought ski passes through the hotel, and that worked great. However, our ski passes were booked for the wrong days, but the hotel reception solved that problem within minutes.

The owner of the apartment is a gem! Extremely supportive, giving great advice when needed, responding questions in a very short time. We got a lot of great advice about the area in advance, so our stay was just a pleasure. There is absolutely nothing to complain about the apartment. All what's needed is there. Short distance to supermarket, short distance to shuttle bus. Ski storage is very close. Slope begins 1 meter outside rear entrance. It is well deserved top note!

Excellent location, a minute to the ski room from the accommodation and a further minute to the slopes, a brief ski down and you're in the centre of Meribel Mottaret and the lifts which are much quieter in the morning than those in Meribel-Mottaret centre. Bus stop is nearby if you do want to go into Meribel. Using the door code on arrival was easy. The bathroom was lovely, nice hot water. A minute walk to the grocery store and ski hire shops.

Location is the best one can find in 3 Vallées, if getting the most of the slopes is one’s top priority. Superb location. The service was exceptional. The staff really went out of their way catering for our various requests and even helped us getting out our car which was buried in snow. From front desk personnel to the dining room staff, everyone was super nice and friendly. This hotel is a small, cozy and very friendly.

The Value/Price ratio is definitely in the favor of the hotel. Excellent location, the rooms are small but very clean and the bedding is comfortable and very high quality. The dinner (was included) is way above average Courchevel' snobby, expensive places. Breakfast is straight to the point - limited variety, but good quality and anybody finds something suitable to eat.

The hotel location is the best in Meribel. Everything is very close. The best is the escalators opposite from the hotel, that takes you directly to the slopes and La Chaudanne. Almost like ski-in ski-out. It can be very noisy due to partying people, so it's not recommended for light sleepers. The rooms are of simple standard, but clean. You'll get value for the money.

Lounge and dining area great..very comfortable and fab fire (although keep logs right at back to stop smoke into the room). Kitchen very well equipped. Literally a 1 minute walk to the Doron slope which was brilliant to ski in and out and a few minutes walk the other way to the shops and ski hire. Can get a bus by the shops down to the centre.

An amazing property right in the heart of Meribel Centre. A fab design that is functional and fun. The little bar is a great feature. It is literally 1 minute from 2 ski hires, the ski pass issuing machine, the slopes and bars in the centre. Sauna great, parking handy.
