The town of Ortisei is a very typical Sud-Tirolean Alpine with lots of wood in use throughout the town for building and local wood carvers. It is a very quiet and peaceful town. Up the road Selva is a more geared towards younger people with lots of apres-ski bars and outdoor music events and bars etc. If you are up for a quiet and relaxing stay, which has lots of nice restaurants and shops, this is it.

The place is excellent — it was my 4th ski travel to this area (Ortizei, Selva di val Gardena), the only huge issue is that there is no direct connections from major airports — Milano, Bergamo, Verona (you could make from one of those). If you don't rent a car — the travel is ridiculous long and require several connections. Comparing to Andorra — there is regular direct bus connection right from the Barcelona airport to Andorra and across Andorra cities+villages (busses and shuttles). I don't understand why this area did not organised something like that, because you built HUGE ski infrastructure and made it complicated to reach it by travellers.

Ortisei is fine to overnight there, but what is much better is to use cable car and to go up to the mountains around. And not only in Ortisei but also in Santa Catarina and Selva...
This is really unforgettable.

Ortisei is a very cousy little village.
Ortisei is a very cousy little village. The main street is packed with shops and restaurants. Everything is within walking distance and there's plenty of choices. Not too crowded, but not a ghost town either. Just perfect for a laid back family vacation.

This hotel exceeded all expectations.
This hotel exceeded all expectations. The staff was top notch, all areas were very clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Wonderful breakfast with excellent service and amenities. I highly recommend Hotel Albion and look forward to another visit in the future.
Huge and varied spread of breakfast and evening meal . The quality is high with all diets and needs catered for .
The facilities are fantastic - numerous activities : Indoor to outdoor pool . Sauna , sun bed , quiet areas , games rooms .
There is a substantial ski room to leave your equipment in a private locker .
If ordered in advance , the skis and boots are waiting for you when you arrive at the hotel .
There is a frequent shuttle service to the slopes as they are a few miles away but doesn t detract from the overall experience
The location is superb - Only 5 mins walk to the center of Ortisei. The apartment is very well-finished and utterly solid. The beds are comfortable and everything was above my expectations. Wifi was also good and consistent. Nice addition of free passes for the city spa as well. Cristine was easy to contact and very hospitable. The views from the apartment up to the Seiser Alm chair lift rival anything that city center hotels have to offer at a much higher price. I would 100% recommend staying here.
Perfect - it was one of my best decisions during my trip in Italy. Amazing view, clean and neat facilities, amazing breakfast and dinner (highly recommend to book a half board option. Too good to miss this fantastic Italian course meals) - there are so many great things that I can explain, but the biggest asset of this hotel is the staff. The nice, warm welcoming, supportive, and friendly staff completed my stay in Hotel Ronce. Definitely want to revisit this place :)
The stay was just amazing. The place is above and beyond what we expected. Ortisei is a tourist town with apartments facing the streets with a small, cute balcony. And that's exactly what we got. It is more of an apartment for yourself rather than a hotel with all amenities like kitchen and dining area. We loved it and enjoyed our stay there. The receptionist was also very helpful and recommended and guided us with the tips for travelling and exploring the place.
Fantastic little mountain hotel, truly ski-in/ski-out (if you are staying on Alpe di Suise side and skiing back on Pilar, on Seceda side, walking involved, but free shuttle is offered for return). Very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms, ski gear storage, sufficient guest parking. Great communication with the hosts, and very helpful with late checkin and anything else we needed. We would absolutely stay here again when visiting Val Gardena area.
Loved everything about this hotel! The location is perfect with easy access to the lifts, the hotel is beautiful, well decorated and spotless. The room was bright and sunny with beautiful linens. The swimming pool and spa were also spectacular. We had dinner at the hotel and it was one of the nicest meals we had on our trip. There was a miscommunication over breakfast but the hotel made up for it with no issues. Best place we stayed in Italy!
I booked single room but owner upgraded for me and i got twin room. Thank you, Lucas! He is very friendly. He gave me free ticket for all buses and train (for big region, not only for Ortisei) for 6 days! And i got free ticket for public spa centre. The same very good. Breakfast was very good. Restaurant in hotel with beautiful view. By the way. I’v seen kitchen for guests in hotel but I didn’t check how is it)
We spoiled ourselves with one night at Adler, a true jewel of Gröden. Our expectations were exceeded, We enjoyed every minute! The adult spa area is magnificent. The booking mentioned "half board" but it is truely a full board service. You actually don't need to leave the hotel area, except for outdoor activities ;)
Breakfast was really nice! The hotel room was great, with a nice mountain view and a balcony. There is daily housecleaning service in case of need. The Skiroom provided easy access and the B&B has great collaborations with Carlo's ski rental for a nice discount and free pick up of the gear after you trip.
Super clean and quiet stay right in the hear of Ortisei. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast each morning was great. We will be back again. The hotel is a 2 min walk away from the pedestrian area and 5-7 min away from the Seceda and Alp de Susi cable cars.
Family friendly hotel in the center of Ortisei.
The rooms were very spacious and clean.
Breakfast was delicious and staff was extra helpful.
Peter, the owner, would go above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
We’ll definitely stay there again on our next trip to explore the Dolomites.
Hotel is in a good locations can explore Ortisei town by foot. Hotel give you card to enjoy the swimming pool nearby. The room has everything you need, well equipped. Has spare pillows. The bathroom is big and has 2 toilets which is great for 3 persons. Breakfast was great!
I will talk about BOOKING.COM they’re uncooperative and don’t care about their customers and do not try to help them with any unintended error in the reservation procedures. This is what happened to me in a number of hotels on my trip to Europe this year.
The location of the hotel is really great, clean and with a beautiful view over the mountains and the Ortisei village. The food, breakfast and dinner, were tasty and delicios and the staff is really friendly and helpful. I totally recommend this place!
Welcoming family running the hotel, thanks to Silvan for kindly meeting us at the bus stop when we arrived to Ortisei. We liked traditional outdoor and indoor style, good location, delicious breakfast, everything was amazing!
5 star service. Loved having a dedicated dining table for our entire stay. Every staff member was extremely nice and helpful. This was our favorite place we stayed while in Italy. Thank you!
Excellent staff; comfortable, free of charge transport from the hotel to the ski lifts; infinity, outdoor swimming pool; good food; nice and clean rooms
