This town has so much charm and everyone here is so lovely. We enjoyed going on a long walk around the neighborhood, and at night the whole town comes alive in the Piazza. These folks know how to have fun!

Anyone staying in Nicolosi for a holiday needs their own...
Anyone staying in Nicolosi for a holiday needs their own transport. Sicily is not like Malta and doesn't have a good public bus service, sadly.
Also you need to be a very confident driver if you are considering hiring a car there. It's every man/woman for himself.
The only other way to get around is by booking tours, which do seem to be plentiful.
Plenty of good places in Nicolosi to eat and well stocked supermarkets.
My only criticism really is the amount or rubbish left on the road sides, which seems such a shame for such a beautiful civilised place and is something that local councils really need to address.

Very scenic and a quaint village.
Very scenic and a quaint village. You will need own transportation to be more free to go where you want. They have rosticcierie for lunch and food is lovely.
For pizza, particularly if you have intolerances, order from Punto ICS - excellent and does delivery.
We also ate at La Baita di Rosemary, prices are affordable and they have a varied menu but isn't ideal for food intolerances, though they do oblige for food for children.

Nicolosi is a vibrant town with lots of delicious restaurants. It is very easy to get to Etna from here, and good travel link to other tourist attractions such as Taormina, Catania, Aci Reale. Comparing to Catania, Nicolosi is much quieter, cleaner and we feel very safe in this town.

Great location for visiting Etna and the region.
Great location for visiting Etna and the region. Unfortunately, constant dogs barking meant that we couldn't use place to relax in-between excursions. Host has 7 dogs and most neighbours do too, we took are dog, but he is trained. Host was nice, English not so good but neither is my Italian so not really an issue. Patio of place was full of ash on our arrival, which could have been swept up in 2 mins and avoided being walked inside. I don't know if it is mentioned in the description the amount of dogs the owner has, but if somebody has a fear of dogs or small children who are a bit dog wary, this is not the place for you. You do not come into contact with them but you are well aware of their presence.

Tourist town. I regret we had stayed there.
Tourist town. I regret we had stayed there. Was hard to find an honest and authentic place to eat. Lost of repelling restaurants.
Luckily we were recomended by our host to eat at Scorzonera and it was worth it.
Angela the owner could not be any nicer and loves what she does. And boy does it show. This kind of personal attention is what makes travel a joy to us. The location is perfect for those wishing to visit Etna, and the B&B was a fantastic value. Pool is lovely and kept very clean. Breakfast was highlighted by a homemade pistachio croissant we found close to divine! Even the coffee was first rate. Walking distance to town and great food. Private parking too. Highly recommended!
The owners are very friendly. They also suggested some restaurants where we can eat in the evening. In fact they also booked the table for us at one of the restaurants. They also gave us some vouchers to use when we went to visit Etna mountain which saved us a lot of money during lunch there. The location is very close to many attractions and shopping places and the area around the house is very peaceful. Definitely recommend the property .
It's a perfect place run by a manager who really cares for his guests. He is friendly and communicative, and extremely helpful. The rooms are pretty, modern, very comfortable and impeccably clean. The breakfast was a dream come true - I think the best breakfast I have ever had in Sicily if not whole Italy. I highly recommended it for a nice stay in Nicolosi at the foot of Mt Etna.
The hotel is a beautiful one and the staff is amazing. If you are there on a Saturday, it is a must that you stay for the weekly dinner dance they hold. The food was great but at this dinner dance and also during breakfast. Everything was fresh. The bed was very comfortable and our room was great. The location, just underneath the Etna, is ouststanding.
An independent self-catering apartment with a well-equipped kitchen. Private parking space in front of the building. Very kind and friendly owners, the son can speak English. Location by the main road leading to the centre of Nicolosi and to Etna. It's a 10-minute walk to a good local bakery called Santa Rita in Via Firenze.
This was the nicest place we stayed at during our 14 day trip to sicily.
It is a little refreshing paradise in Nicolosi.
Nice garden, nice pool, nice room, nice breakfast, nice hosts.
A big hug to the hosts :)
We felt really welcome and at home.
Thank you so much.
Bonus: they are building a whirlpool right now.
Excellent, friendly service; young centleman working at the reception was really helpful. Marvellous house at Etna, with views down to Catania bay. Easy access to carpark at the house and enough space to park with no extra cost. Excellent breakfast: typical Italian + yoghurt + mysli + eggs.
The apartment is perfectly located for your Etna hike, 20 minutes outside Catania. The family who owns the property is very friendly and helped us with finding an amazing restaurant. The breakfast we got was delicious, very fresh croissants, coffee, yogurt etc.
Nice and perfectly well located hotel near cable car to ETNA.
Friendly staff.
Good breakfast.
We even had a chance to see some eruptions directly from the hotel.
All was great and we will come back again.
Thank you.

Was there for one night, it's in a perfect location to get to the Etna early. Nice rooms, well equipped shared kitchen, really quiet town. Had a good night's sleep, didn't need an AC even in mid July. Giovanni was really friendly and welcoming.
Spacious living area, nice kitchen, comfy bed and hot shower. Good location on a square in Nicolosi with free parking. Lovely host, friendly, kind and full of lots of good local information. Made my stay in Sicily comfortable and stress free
The hotel is amazing ! The decoration & the furniture are well chosen to make you feel in a relax environment. The breakfast is delicious, homemade and with a large variety of local food The staff is really helpful and dedicated.
