The hotel is beautiful, and the staff is delightful. They speak English well - if that would be important for you. Also, the ski rental place is close and they give you discount if you stay at Ellex hotel. The super small grocery store is also close. It takes about a 3-5 minute walk to reach the ski lifts. My only issue was with the breakfast: it is a very nice buffet breakfast with really lots of choices, BUT they serve you only one plate of meat (sausage or ham), and if you want to eat something salty other than cheese, then you have only omelette options. Also, there are no vegetables at all! At one point I bought my own tomatoes at the aforementioned grocery store. But if you eat only sweet stuff for breakfast then you will love the place. As I said, other than these two tiny issues I had no problem with the other, or with the breakfast. So I can recommend it to anyone. One more thing: my view from the balcony was amazing at the mountains, so the location of the hotel is another extra.
Located next to the ski elevators for the Punta Jolanda slopes, this hotel has an Aosta restaurant and a spa. It offers ski storage, free Wi-Fi and Alpine-style rooms with satellite LCD TV.
The Dufour is a characteristic Alpine hotel next to Punta Jolanda chair elevator, in the Monterosa Ski Resort. It offers a wellness center, a traditional restaurant, free parking and WiFi.

This was either my fifth or sixth stay at Albergo Ristoro Sitten, and it definitely won’t be the last. Being able to stay up at such high elevation, amidst such spectacular vistas, in such total comfort, with such fantastic staff and unforgettable food is an experience I want to repeat over and over and over. Every time I have spent time here, it’s been one of the highlights of my whole summer. It’s impossible to do justice to the natural beauty of the surroundings—it really might be the most stunning landscape I’ve seen in my life—but combining it with such welcoming people and such comfort is a real treat. Cannot recommend it more highly. 😍

Located right on the slopes.
Large bedroom, spacious wardrobe and well equipped kitchen.
Has 2 balconies with chairs and table, so you can spend time outside.
Covered parking.
The buses run frequently. Hotel offered a shuttle to the Punta Jolanda lift, but if you want to get stuck right into it we'd recommend driving or the bus up to Staffal lift area for quicker access to Champoluc.
Little shop up in the village is well stocked - great bread, cheese, wine and treats. Also good for food-based gifts to take home.

The hotel has a great feel and is well located. We skied back to the hotel each day. There is a storage locker downstairs for ski gear. Everything was perfectly clean and the bathroom had a great shower with good pressure. The bed was comfortable with nice linen. The hosts were incredible, they dropped us at the ski rental building and were very helpful. Breakfast was really nice with lots of different options. Free parking is provided. There was a restaurant right across the street for dinner. Will be back if ever skiing Monterosa.
The breakfast service was odd and slow but this is because of Covid - breakfast was ok but hotel was great value so no complaints. The hotel is a bit old fashioned but the photos show this so we were expecting it and it was good value so again no complaints. It was very clean and in a great location with the lift just outside. There is a ski shop 2 mins away and a lovely bar with a bigger bar round the corner and enough good restaurants in walking distance for the week. Sarah on reception was super helpful!
Breakfast was really good, with many options and kind staff.
Our room (attic) had a warm feel and was very nice. Despite being in the attic, it didn't feel small.
The location of the hotel is very convenient - you can reach various restaurants and hiking paths without the need to move your car. Same for skilifts.
Daniele was kind and available at the front desk.
Hotel guests can get a pretty nice dinner at a very close restaurant for 25 euros.
The wellness centre is pretty nice.
A good location to explore Gressoney valley.
Owners and staff were very lovely people. We give 11 points here.
Carpark in front of hotel.
Onsite restaurant was excellent. Good selections of local wine. Really enjoyed the pork shin (stinco di maiale) , We want to come back to eat more ;-)
Breakfast was super, capuccino was amazing, Thanks Mario, the fast action super star & Laila the lovely beautiful lady ;-)
Sure will be back when in the valley again. See you all again.
Fortunately, your breakfast corresponded better to what is touted as "Continental breakfast", as opposed to the saccharin-and-caffeine-kick combination of coffee, croissants and cakes proffered in many hotels down in the Po Plain. At your current price, I still would have liked to see an option of even healthier food, including dark rye bread, much as I have found in similar accommodation in Trentino and Alto Adige.
The room was charming and well appointed. The staff were super helpful. I had a private booking for one night and another booking with a group for another night, with one day in between for an overnight on the mountain. For the price of a late checkout, the hotel staff allowed me to leave my stuff in the room and come back to the same room the next day. They were very accommodating!
The most helpful owner we've met on our trip!! Giorgio made it the perfect stay. We are touring on a motorcycle and he gave us great detailed recommendations. The hotel has been refurbished, so the nice size rooms have modern conveniences, but still maintain a lot of character
Good breakfast and dinner choices
Would love to stay again if ever in this beautiful area again.
We had a fantastic time at this great hotel. We booked including dinner, the choice was great and the food was amazing. We got great advice on hikes in the mountains, that started just at the doorstep of the hotel. A visit at the wellness in the afternoons made our stay complete. We will be back! Thanks!
This is my 5th year coming at hotel Dofour and every year the owner makes me feel like I am at home in my own mountain hut.
Clean and spacious rooms, a nice cozy spa area, super close to the ski facilities, good food, super polite staff always smiling and eager to help.
Value for money at its best!
Lovely spacious room and helpful hostess. Fantastic choice at breakfast served by friendly staff at charming nearby hotel. Great to be able to use hotel boot room which is right next to the ski lift so no need to trek about with ski and boots.
Loved the friendly staff, great location, comfortable beds and pillows, and the overall cleanliness of our room and the hotel. Also the breakfast was varied and had enough of everything we wanted.
The staff was really nice, fluent in English and pampered my alone-travelling wife with extra care. The hotel rooms are spacious and the spa is suberb. This is a great place.
