Many tourist attractions in the area, the Constantin Brancusi sculptural ensemble, the Polovragi and Tismana monasteries, the Sohodolului and Oltetului gorges, the Muierilor Cave and many others. Restaurants that offer quality traditional food. Hanul Domnesc was my choice.

A very strong odour of chemicals (for the cleanup) - so I would not recommend it to the persons that are allergic as me. The view was ok, just the interior yard view. Impressed by all means of how green and visitor friendly is this city. With beautiful parks - one more wild where you can find two of the Brancusi works and the second that is more austere, clean and very focussed on the infinite column of Brancusi. The city has a walking space with a lot of green and playing grounds for kids, in the center. Beautiful coffee shops on this walking area! The mountains can be spotted at a long distance as a promise of a cooler area! The building of Tudor Vladimirescu College is the most beautiful one as such I have ever seen!

It's good not to drive in town, the roads are overcrowded, but using taxis or just walking around is just about right. The town has beautiful architecture and it holds the most beautiful sculptures made by Brancusi, the Table of the Silence, the Gate of Kiss and the Infinity Column, which worth to be visited. The restaurants offer good food, the prices are accessible.

I have always wanted to see Brancusi's work in Targu Jiu.
I have always wanted to see Brancusi's work in Targu Jiu. The sculptures are amazing, great free art. The city is strange, the information for the tourists is missing; it is like you are supposed to know everything before you get there. The monuments are placed in 2 different parks and if you want to walk from one to the other there aren't any indications and at a certain point you will have to cross the railway.

The room is large enough, clean, well designed, with comfortable beds and large TV (which include Netfilx). The bathroom is large and the shower corner is a dream (include massage facility). The breakfast include everything you need (drinks, large variety of food, sweets, fruits, etc.). There are plenty of parking space in the hotel proximity. I recommend this hotel if you travel in Tg. Jiu.
