Loved Courmayeur, the place, the people, the food.
Loved Courmayeur, the place, the people, the food. Such a pretty centre and lovely restaurants up the mountain. A fairly small ski area, so 4 days of skiing was enough here. Will definitely come back here for a weekend, but not for a week.

Skiing: high so plenty of snow, in good condition.
Skiing: high so plenty of snow, in good condition. Mosy of the lifts were reasonably quick. Very little queuing when we were there. Lots of potential for off piste. Most of the blue runs were linking paths rather than enjoyable pistes. Nice reds and blacks. Relatively small area, but if you have a car La Thuile is nearby.
Weather wasn't great so didn't go up the Skyway.

I have visited Courmeyour 2 or 3 times over the years. It has definitely gone 'up market' with a lot of boutique shops and bars appearing since I was last here, However, if you are looking for reasonably priced pizza/pasta/burgers etc there are plenty of restaurants that deliver. I went low season and the town was quite quiet. One of two bars that had a bit of life but not a 'party' town.
After skiing in Austria for the last 10 years or so, I found things like the beer, ski hire and ski pass quite expensive. Its definitely cheaper than the other side of the valley in Chamonix though.

The town centre is beautiful with lots of shops.
The town centre is beautiful with lots of shops.
Unfortunately, everything was expensive: restaurants, shops & food. There is only one tiny supermarket which is almost impossible to find. It seats in a hidden place. No proper signage to find it.

Courmayeur is a pretty Italian town located underneath the Mont Blanc massif with a charming centre only slightly spoilt by the presence of the Aosta valley motorway which runs through the Mont Blanc tunnel. There are several restaurants in the town centre and good shopping. Apart from skiing there are many mountain walks in the area as well as the unmissable Skyway Monte Bianco.
Such a great hotel! It exceeded our expectations and was so much better than the photos. Brilliant location, short walk to the Via Roma. Chauffeur service to the Dolonne chairlift in mornings and after skiing. Plentiful, delicious breakfast with lots of variety. Comfortable living room with a roaring fire and a great little bar. They make a mean negroni! Great size bedroom, and all super clean. The best part is the kind and friendly owners who really make your stay such a pleasure. We will definitely return!
This is probably the most charming hotel I've ever stayed at! It's in a historic building in La Saxe, which is about a 15-20 minute walk away from the chaotic tourist center of Courmayeur. We had 2 rooms, both so different and fun! One of them had a rooftop terrace that overlooked the town and mountains and was the most perfect place to hang out. This hotel manages to feel really quiet and historic, while still being really clean and chic. The included breakfast was fantastic. We had such a wonderful stay!!
One minute walk to shops and restaurants, brilliant land-rover service to the cable car which was a 4 minute drive away, boot warmers for ski boots, tea and biscuits in the pool room, plenty of communal rooms to play board games, sauna and steam bath after skiing, helpful friendly English speaking staff on reception, free parking, warm, clean comfortable spacious rooms. Loved our quadruple room so that our children were close but we could close the door between us.
The perfect trifecta of beautiful accommodations, superior service and and excellent location. The room, Chetif, was like the rest of the place, a well balanced combination of clean rustic wood and modern materials. Barbara, the owner and manager, has a good eye for design and it shows. She is also a wonderful and helpful host. The breakfasts offer some of the best pies and cakes ever. Staying here elevated out experience at beautiful Courmayeur..
The staff was kind, courteous, and friendly. The hotel is in a beautiful historical stone building dating to 16th century. The location is great: just a short walk to the Dolonne cabin lift if you're skiing, and not far from Courmayeur town centre. There is a parking lot for hotel guests just off the main road. There are also some very good restaurants around the hotel. Given these facts, the hotel is very affordable.
Hotel Triolet is superbly located. 2 mins walk to the primary lift up to the Courmayeur skifield. Supermarket two doors away and easy flat walk to the main pedestrian shopping and dining street. Wonderful friendly and helpful staff with quick comms prior to arrival. Parking is on site and under cover, at a small cost. Rooms warm and comfortable and met expectations.
The hotel is in a great location - a 10-15 min walk to either lift and with plenty of restaurants in the locality.
The staff were great - cheerful, funny and extremely helpful, including the ski instructor who took an absolute novice from our group and made them enjoy skiing for the first time!
The rooms were all you needed and great value for money.
Super friendly staff, clean, location, new, tasteful interior - everything perfect. The apartment had everything including a bottle of wine that we enjoyed. Also the price would be perfect if we had been there with 6 people. We were only 3 and thus an apartment for 6 win Courmayeur will be a bit pricey (not the host’s fault of course).
This hotel is quaint, comfortable and clean. It is in a great location and the staff is so helpful and kind. The food was also delicious and the breakfast buffet was plentiful. Beautiful views of Mont Blanc and other mountains. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy the weather and the views. The pool and spa is awesome, too.
Stayed here partway through our TMB hike. It was a lovely and much needed stay. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast was EXCELLENT. Fantastic view of Courmayeur from the room. Very quaint place. Would def stay again and highly recommend.
TH Courmayeur is a fabulous hotel, great food (we’re vegetarian) the team went out of their way to cater for us. the facilities for ski storage and rental, were excellent, and the shuttle bus to the ski lift was every few minutes.
Very nice staff, upgraded room for free from single room to double. Price was twice less than similar hotels in courmayeur center and walk was only 8min.
