Lovely unit, very clean, comfortable and cosy. Newly renovated, fully equipped kitchen and has a hairdryer in bathroom. It actually looks better than in the photos. The room was pre heated, it felt so warm and welcomed when opening the door. Very comfortable bed, really needed after whole day ski. Not far from falls creek, about 30 min drive, better value than staying on the mountain.

Beautiful summer environment which may have changeable weather including thunderstorms.
A variety of walking and hiking trails and plenty of hilly terrain. Stunning mountain and valley views, wildlife spotting and quiet, remote areas.
Village has adequate food supplies and a post office, although medical help is a long drive down the mountain and no pharmavy supplies are available at Falls Creek village.

The skiing at Falls Creek is wonderful and the people on the mountain are very friendly. We love this resort for its wide runs and great vibe. Sadly we went into lock-down after only one day of skiing so the lifts closed so we ended up on touring skis a new concept for us. Putting skins on your skis and releasing the binding to walk up the mountain then removing the skins and changing the binding to ski down.
We saw the mountain a different way this time and the aqueduct walk was amazing. We love staying at Falls Creek Hotel the friendly vibe, log fire and superb food is terrific. Having a ski in/out and ski hire/shop below really helps.

We were in Falls Creek for the first time for a hike to Hotham Heights. It's a very attractive ski town, and all the locals were noticeably friendly. It was difficult to find a cafe in the off-season, and we were glad to have booked a restaurant for our dinners. The IGA store was well stocked.
Hiking from Falls Creek was excellent, and we'd love to come back for skiing, but it's too difficult for us to get to in Winter when the high road is closed.

Great skiing for beginners.
Great skiing for beginners. Lots of dining options to suit all tastes. Friendly staff teaching lessons and on the lifts.
I would recommend not booking accommodation ahead of time for late in the season / Spring. There are lots of last minute accommodation options at that time. We had some people pull out and was left out of pocket because we couldn't cancel.

Very disappointed that my husbands lift pass couldn’t be refunded following a knee injury where the medical centre advised rest and zimmer splint and provided a medical certificate.
No info was given or could be found re this policy and the staff couldn’t care less. Very unfair and profit driven as they did offer a 12 month credit but we may not return next year. I find this ‘goodwill’ offer poor practice, so of course we did what they wanted and spent the credit in their shops before leaving the mountain. 🤑
Most fast food on the mountain is unhealthy, chips, burgers, donuts, waffles, pizza etc with only few healthy options. Restaurants are better but pricier. Shuttle buses and drivers and all other mountain staff excellent
The staff at the reception attitude is bad. We were not treated nicely upon our arrival. It was too late at night when but we are not allowed to be in because we have total of 11 people including a small kid. We are being treated almost like criminal which she claimed we are trying to sneak in with extra 1 person. The type of words that she chose and the attitude really upset us. We can do nothing but just continue to do what she like us to do by booking another room at different hotel. The way how things go really unpleasant.
The Astra Hotel is superb. It exceeded all of our expectations, and the staff were fantastic, friendly and very knowledgeable. The rooms were well appointed, facilities were above expectations and the location was unbeatable. We have already booked for next year. The Cellar Wine list was amazing, thanks to the owners who allowed us to partake in all of those aged Italian wines. And to Mark - English Sommelier who was so awesome in his knowledge and recommendations. Astra please keep him there as we will return next year!
We stayed 2 nights. Very comfortable family type hospitality. Very cozy fire place at the common lounge area. Enjoyed our morning breakfast and fantastic delicious Mexican dinner with good beverages. Lachie pick us up from the Accommodation Transfer building upon our arrival and also provide the transport back on the day of our departure. Thank you Lachie. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Cooroona Alpine Lodge to anyone considering going to Falls Creek Resort. Loong and Family.
Amy and Lauchie, and the team, were great! They were very hospitable, approachable, and friendly. Nothing was a bother. It was our first time visiting Falls Creek, and they made it an enjoyable experience. The Lodge was very clean and comfortable. The food was great and the log fire at the end of the day was enjoyed. Can recommended Cooroona for a great family stay.
The staff at Falls Creek are helpful, approachable and pleasant. Frueauf accommodation was fantastic. Heated bathroom with adjustable temperature. Lots of heater to keep us warm and cosy. Fully equipped kitchen (it’s the best!), washer and dryer, outdoor spa and awesome breakfast selection. We also managed to borrow tobaggans and xbox at the reception for free.
Great place , good price during the skiing season, nice staying!
Room is simple but warm and clean, lobby is lovely with breakfast , coffee tea and fruit all day, and game room, kindly staffs like family.
I love this hotel cause only can eat or drink at lobby but not at room, I think it’s really smart!
Riparoo is a a classic ski lodge placed ideally in the middle of Falls Creek. It has recently renovated rooms that are super clean, an excellent trying room and great dining and lounge areas. The management team of Claire and Al are friendly and engaging and the food is awesome! We'll be going back.
The location was perfect for Mountain biking. The host was amazing with my every request. The apartment is clean, amazing beds and linen. The little things that count like washing up liquid, clothes liquid, coffee and tea. One of the best places I have stayed at.
We liked all the extras that were included in the price like the spa, mountain bikes, kayaks.
Also the staff were amazing: Shana was so lovely and attentive, and the food cooked by Sergio was divine. We highly recommend this lodge for your trip to Falls Creek!
Easy access from the main road. Secure bike storage. Generous room size. Love having the sliding door out into the fresh mountain air. Everything I needed for a relaxing long weekend away mountain biking the awesome Falls Creek trails.
Bed, warmth of room, staff sense of humour were outstanding. Room lighting was nostalgic, a bonus for an experienced traveller. Hotel theme reminded me of similar lodges in central Europa.
Enjoyed our stay at Lakeside Falls Creek… breakfast was beautifully presented.
Must recommend the Sticky date pudding at Lakeside Restaurant menu… Delicious!! 🥰
